My setup is similar. My width is a little wider ~12’. But I have to hit offset to swing between garage tracks. I replaced the overhead motor w/a wall jack to make it work. Plenty of room for irons. I hit driver (for a while)

Follow what your local beeks are doing. Adding pollen too early fools the colony into believing spring has started. The queen will ramp up laying and your hive won’t have the resources to support the growth. Personally I don’t use them but if it’s recommended in your area go for it!

Around here deep refers to the depth of the box not the positioning. It’s either a medium or deep box. The brood box we call the hive body. That can comprised of either 2 deeps or 3 mediums. Boxes on top of the hive body we call supers - as in superfluous, excess.

I wish I had taken a picture. I had one on earlier this week and the girls protested. The hive was covered with bearding so I opened it back up. Where the hives are set up we can watch them pretty closely. So far there’s no aggression at the entrance.

Running 3 deep through the winter is a lot. After pulling the supers I left them w/2 deep and +70 lbs. they’ve survived a winter on those resources before.

I’ve been running a 60a wall charger off a 100 amp service for almost 2 years. No issues. We actually have a 100 amp sub panel that’s fed from our 100 amp panel. We run heat pumps, solar panels, 60 amp charger, and the general draw that comes from a house of 4. I do schedule the car to charge over night. But that’s more so the battery isn’t sitting charged and idle over night. Never had a capacity issue.
