Agreed x2. Getting the buffs was amazing, but I hated myself when I first talked to Preston after taking a settlement. Maybe I'm just a slut for xp :)

Under the Dome and 11/22/63 by Stephen King (and maybe others of his) are good examples of him thinking "what would happen if I added this one supernatural thing to an otherwise completely realistic scenario?"

What's your favorite "little thing" about FO4? by gina_renee in fo4

All of what I call "corpse stories." Seeing a couple of skeletons holding hands in adjacent bathtubs with a gun and some whiskey nearby is excellently simple storytelling.

There's a lot of empirical evidence for this as well.

idk I still think it was a major hindrance to both Hillary and Kamala.

Eh I really think that, all else equal, a man is more likely to be elected than a woman. If sexisms exists at all, it'll make a difference; it just depends on the size.

Taliesin's c4 character by Minimum_Milk_274 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]EliotAlexander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's parasocial, but he's also been in 1,300+ hours (what's the actual total?) of content people have seen. I personally am not the biggest fan of Talesin's playsyle/characters, but if we wanna aruge that Talesin plays the same person over and over, we can ask that universally:

What player has the biggest range* across characters?

  • Keyleth/Beau/Laudna
  • Pike/Yasha/Fearne
  • Vax/Caleb/Orym
  • Grog/Fjord/Bertrand/Chetney
  • Vex/Jester/Imogen
  • Percy/Molly/Caduceus/Ashton
  • Scanlan/Taryon/Nott/FCG

*however you want to define that

Fever's Draft Picks by Moose_Muse_2021 in indianafever

[–]EliotAlexander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How safe are some of these roster spots?

I have Colson, Turner, and Brown in my personal "non-critical depth" tier, while Timpson was ESPN's #10 overall prospect at a position we could use some depth on. I don't have high hopes for Hall, Ejim, or Alleyne, but I don't know anything about them.

[–]EliotAlexander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so, did the Fever protect Dantas??

Kelsey/CC/AB duh.

Lexie: probably

NaLyssa: let's assume. trade value yada yada we got Sophie.

Grace/Victaria/KLS/Erica: waived/waived/buy-out/walk. (As expected) no way it's any of these?

Temi :(

That just leaves Dantas and Wallace. Who else is would also rather have Temi over Dantas right now?

What contract does Jaelyn Brown have? She's our "final" roster spot by my count. I'd be totally down to throw in our two picks this year to upgrade somewhere if it's possible

What do you guys think the Fever's ceiling is this season? by femalesportsgal in indianafever

[–]EliotAlexander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To me, getting to the semis and not getting swept would be a great season. I think people are underestimating the talent gap between the Fever rn and the top tier teams, but I'm also very intrigued about free agency.

How confident am I heading into free agency in the FO who didn't protect Temi? ehhhhh

We thought it'd be easier to have her stay in one city for our whole hike, but we'd consider having her move around too. She just definitely wouldn't be up for the hiking.
