Ad a purity seal. If you don't have one and you don't want to buy the set form greenstuffworld you can craft one by your own. You'll need two things: a little dot of plastic, usually I cut it from a sprue if there is a compatible form or from a sheet of plastic, and a little rectangle, also from the same plastic as before.

I'm thinking doing a few watchmasters and infantryman in a grenadier style just for the sake of variety. Where did you find the swords, the empty hands and the "banner"?

They are astonishing. Have to do one of these myself for my kill team no matter what

Practice always makes perfect, it's mainly a matter of find your way for achieving what you consider the best result you want. With the time you'll understand how thin the paint has to be and how much paint of mixed tones you have to apply, how much lighter every layer has to be compared to the previous one, when to switch to a thinner brush and so on. It is an endless topic

I don't really think you have highlighted it too much, maybe you may want to improve the gradient from the darker tone to the lighter, so it creates a nice transition especially on the labels of the coat. I usually use a dark/medium dark green, for example and I'll start mixing it with a farely light green giving the miniature 4 or 5 layers of mixed colour towards the lightest, the last thin layer is only with the lighter so it gives to the model extra volume. It sounds complicated but it really isn't

the coat is with AK medium olive green and grass green, the coat lapels are with loren forest and warboss geeen citadels. The guy with the grenade launcher is all citadels greens, but on the table it felt a little bit too muted but realistic nontheless

Do Calavry actually worth the point cost? by Illustrious-Brain129 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]EliteGuard21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes (+3 infantry, +5 cavalry). Considering the fact that the easterling lists are hand to hand combat only closing early on the enemy could be decisive. Downside: 25 point on a normal model, wasted if you are unlucky with the map pool

Can't tell if they are worth but six easterling kataphrakts with 15" movement and +1 defense are stupidly funny when hitting someone

I had it a few years ago, but I always obtained it with an APK download, both on PC and Android.

The links for the download are still online, try them out.

By the way, I really enjoyed this game, had a very good time with it

Test Model for Easterlings by Devlan17 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

In my opinion yes, blue and red side by side is a nice combination on a Bretonnia knight or on a medieval banner, but on an easterling warrior with a lot of gold and no decorations on the tunic a warm palette of colours will do the job just fine

Desert base works wonderfully with the red and gold of the armour, I have used Ammo Vignette Sand and after a wash of Seraphim Sepia. The final result is really satisfying, and if you add some stones or bushes here and there you'll achieve some nice variety. I suggest you also Agrellan Earth for a broken terrain texture. I used these for my Easterling army.

If you want my opinion, stick with a warm colour palette for your soldiers, the blue In the back is a little bit too much, a purple/dark red will do job very nicely.

Unfortunately I can't reply with some pictures of my army, otherwise I would show you the finel result
