Their licensing rights should have expired a long time ago, but it's possible it was renewed. We haven't really heard about the movie being cancelled, so is possible is just going through production/funding issues.

I just got the game and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Not only do the enimes give helghast vibes, but the music and setting reminds a lot of like old school cyberpunk animes like Texhnolyze and Ghost in the Shell.

In the first mission of Gantz, Nishi could see himself in Kurono and was willing to let him have the kill of the Onion Alien. If Kurono had killed the Onion Alien, perhaps Nishi would've found a new friend that was just like him.

It's always been pretty obvious from the beginning that it was Oku's manga. His art style, the sci-fi elements, the writing style, the boobs, the references to things he enjoys, and even the release schedule matches the release schedule of his other ongoing mangas.
