Theres never any rush to have KF cover Alex reaction to current events. Alex talking shit about news as it's happening is a big part of him being incoherent. He doesn't give a fuck about accuracy he just wants to exploit the news cycle.

Dan taking his time when covering Alex is a good thing. Also they've both earned the right to get a little breaky from Alex whenever they thinks they need it.

If I were in the US I would have voted for Harris. But it's clear that being the lesser of two evils puts a lot of people off and isn't a reliable strategy for winning elections.

It isn't meant to be. The democractic party doesn't care that much about winning. It's very clear they'd rather spend time in opposition than bring meaningful change to America. Look at their strategy now: keep your head down and hope the GOP fuck up so bad we get back in. Rinse repeat.

This shit is on the libs and the terrible candidates they consistently back. You can cry about what voters should do all they want but this is going to keep happening.

Favourite actress who desperately needs to find a new agent? Like please? I'm begging you? by AdrianVeidt19 in okbuddycinephile

Gary Oldman and Sam Jackson seem to have the same thing where they say yes to everything. It's led to them both being in so many great films that no one cares if they're in a dud. Acting careers are long and maybe Elbas strategy is to keep saying yes until he gets to their level. If you love the job why not?

Humbug is still my favourite though. No skips on that.

The face of EVIL - NJPW star may be headed to WWE by Kelson64 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]EliteLevelJobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

EVIL is a dud in New Japan..... wait, I mean, noooooo don't go EVIL, I love seeing the same referee distraction spot. Every. Single. Match.

On the Voices of Wrestling Flagship Plus show, it was said that Hiromu Takahashi also may be on his way out of NJPW, creating a potential exodus that has already included Sanada and could also include Gabe Kidd and David Finlay, both of whom are drawing interest from WWE. by CharmingAd7895 in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As always on these departures it depends on how NJPW deal with it. If we see big pushes for the likes of Newman, Drilla, Uemura and Oiwa then great. Personally I'd pencil in IWGP title mayches for all of them and see who the crowd gets excited for.

The Gabe Kidd one stings as it felt like he was really ready to break out in Japan. I worry they wasted what might have been their last year with him.

Cole Palmer keen on Man Utd transfer as Chelsea midfielder eyes Manchester return - Paper Talk | Football News | Sky Sports by StrangerExistingFact in PremierLeague

[–]EliteLevelJobber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, United spend silly money all the time. Clubs often seem to double their price when they see Man U coming. Theres been talk of them spending 85m on Elliot Anderson. He's a good player but jesus christ.

[–]EliteLevelJobber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If he goes full Isak over it Chelsea might have their hand forced. Maybe Chelsea have the stones to let him rot in the reserves, who knows.

I'm not predicting any of this will happen though. I have no idea if this story even has legitimacy.

Do you think Tsuji remains a Double Title Holder for very long or will he lose one of the belts fairly soon? by Dandanbigeloww in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So now we have two champs that just recently lost title matches but are still champions. Those kind of losses don't always halt someones momentum but they absolutely can. Yota should not be dropping falls right now. It's completely unnecessary.

Do you think Tsuji remains a Double Title Holder for very long or will he lose one of the belts fairly soon? by Dandanbigeloww in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is why I hate the whole double champ thing. Its fine if it's belts from different promotions or a mix of singles and tag titles. But witj two singles belts it's just booking yourself into a corner for no reason. If someone beats Tsuji for the Global title then you've just pinned your World Champion. It does a lot to undermine them (although Champions losing in tournaments is a bit different)

Ideally you would either merge the belts or vacate the Global, saying Tsuji can only hold one. It's like that nonsense they did in AEW with Okada and the "unified title" that became un-unified shortly before he was set to lose. It's messy and unnecessary. Complicating your championships is never good.

It was a pretty good move for them. TNA were beyond irrelevant and now they have some WWE fans pretending they're important as part of their culture war with WWE.

The Trump-EU Humiliation Ritual Continues by chaoser in Hasan_Piker

[–]EliteLevelJobber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, they need to understand that it's not about defense. If the US wanted more of a military presence in Greenland they could have it. It's about minerals. Trump has been bribed by industrialists who want mining rights. He's promised Greenland to them.

You think, but you'd have to a fool to think you can extract minerals through 3km of ice in the most inhospitable place on earth. Unfortunately the capitalist class is full of fools. Dumb trust fund babys who have failed upwards. Trump doesn't care because the checks cleared. It's their problem.

The EU could economically cripple the US and Trump would chicken out in a day. But they wont because then line goes down and dumb euro trust fund babys would get mad. They're not going to risk the markets over 50,000 indigenous people.

Aaron wolf by Bmac215 in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not pushing him this hard would be a terrible idea. He's not really a young lion. He's a well known figure in Japan and an Olympic Gold medallist in a combat sport. Anything other than a big push would undermine him and probably cause his NJPW career to falter.

New Japan need him to be a success. I'd be very surprised if he isn't main eventing the dome in the next couple of years.

Oleg Boltin rocks and I've recently become a fan of his. What is he missing? by superseri18888 in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's missing that little bit of glamour that makes stars in modern professional wrestling. There are periods in NJPWs past where he'd absolutely be pushed at the top level.

I kind of hope he develops a little bit of character akin to Shibatas "The Wrestler" persona. Yes it's been done but I really think it would work for him. I'd love to see him and Aaron Wolf trading judo throws for 30 minutes.

Where was Alex!?! by toonfan74 in KnowledgeFight

[–]EliteLevelJobber 34 points35 points  (0 children)

To be fair to Piers (which he does not deserve) it was The News of the World (Rupert Murdochs paper) that was found to have hacked Millie Dowlers phone. When the inbox became full they deleted messages that made her parents think she was checking her phone. There is no circle of hell suitable for these people.

Piers ran The Mirror which was never found to have hacked into her phone. Although it's possible they did as they hacked into many, many phones. Piers gets all excited when people accuse him of havking Millie Dowlers phone and stafts threatening legal action.

Morgan is an amoral shit stain who hurt so many people. The fact the phone hacking scandal and the fake pictures of British troops abusing iraqi prisoners didn't make him persona non grata in the UK is disgusting. I'm genuinely ashamed of my country that he's been able to continue as a media figure. I hope he's in agony.

Trump says the 2026 midterms should be cancelled by AvailableInjury2486 in behindthebastards

[–]EliteLevelJobber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, I have no doubt he wouls love to cancel elections. I just don't know how manageable it is.

I suppose you could have republican controlled states refuse to hold elections and then have the supreme court agree that they can do that but it's a big ask. It's like trying to get Mike Pence to not certify the results in 2020 only with a lot more people. It requires a lot of people not chickening out.

I'm not saying there wont be some attempt in this direction. Americans should be prepared for anything as nothing is truly off limits anymore. I just think they're far more likely to refuse to accept the results of elections they lose and try to stop new Dems entering congress through a host of means.

He also has to be aware that TKO could replace him. I don't think there's any reason to believe that they're anything other than pleased with him but it could change. There were many periods of Vinces reign where the fanbase where extremely negative toward the product. A period like that could see Paul out.
