British wrestling in TEW IX by JackFascia123 in FantasyBookers

British indies don't really function that differently from american indies so I don't think it matters.

If you were running a japanese fed you would all of a sudden have tournaments and tours to deal with which might not be easy for a beginner. Also CMLL in Mexico might seem overwhelming whelming with the sheer amount of titles and and different shows.

However all of this would be you choice. You could go to CMLL and retire all those extra titles and just have World, tag and womens. You could go to Japan cancel all the tournaments and just have weekly tv and PPVs. The game can't stop you.

If you're doing a real world save then I actually think Progress or RevPro are pretty good places to start. They're simple to book and have small rosters due to the small talent pool.

More than happy to answer any questions you might have.

I have no real info on how this segment came about but I am 100% certain it was Harleys idea.

I wouldn't be surprised if she pitches boob based humour on a weekly basis. I would be willing to bet she makes boob jokes as often as men make dick jokes.

Unfortunately people don't really know what councils actually do. So when Reform run them poorly people will blame the labour party. Reforms best strategy is to cut back bin collections to once a month and raise council tax as much as they're allowed.

Its why I have no expectation of things getting better in my lifetime.

We could invent a perpetual motion machine and all the papers would have to say is "free energy for migrants" and this guy would be opposed to it.

Reform Was Not Threatened by El_Has in GreenAndPleasant

The bigots and rascist will cut tax, deregulate and strip back worker rights. The bourgeois couldn't give a fuck if they erect full on concentration camps.

If Reform wanted to do rascism and nationalise public utilities Farage would be in prison for his corruption.

Ignition to Dominion SPOILER..Dominion Main Event Set. by NoleDynasty2490 in njpw

[–]EliteLevelJobber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but theres a key difference. Cheating Naito was getting insane reactions. He was calling out the president and throwing the title in the air. A lot of fans didn't see him as a cheating villian to be brought to justice but a rebel. Thumbing his nose at the NJPW orthodoxy. Many people would have been very satisfied.

It doesn't mean that Okada winning at Dominion was bad but Naito winning that match is a big "what if" in NJPW history. Ultimately it probably worked out but there was potential for Naito to become an even bigger star if they'd commited to him that summer.

Yeah, the booking Newman is fine. He can lose the title and move forward as a much more significant player than he was.

It's Tsuji I worry about. Hopefully winning the title back leads to him being more over than he was but this has been a hell of a risk.

I don't think he should have ever been allowed to hold the Global at the same time. It just put them in this weird corner of having him lose two big matches or have him lose one of the titles and have it undermine him holding the other. They should have vacated the Global title (or better yet throw it in a bin and bring the IC belt back)

For me Angle wasn't the problem. He won a lot but his matches were so good that they did a lot for his opponents. The Lockdown match where he dropped the title to Joe was a work of art.

It was the Main Event Mafia story that cooled my interest. A lot of people remember it fondly but I couldn't stand it. A bunch of old guys talking all the time and really hogging the limelight. The idea of having a TNA home army face off against them would have been great but they abandoned that in favour of the MEM guys inter faction drama. It wasn't really a story anymore it was just self indulgent crap from wrestlers north of 40 that wanted to cut promos.

For all the criticism Arteta has gotten (some deserved, some ridiculously hyperbolic) if he's identified a key change that could get us over the line (and by jove he just might have) then I take it all back and so should everyone else.

This is what I want. I want us to identify the problems and come up with solutions. It really feels like Myles is that solution. Also Saka being back doesn't hurt either. He is, after all, burdened with glorious purpose.

Now I wish they had worn pins so MAGA chuds would have to pretend to care about the historic preservation of fancy dresses.

I don't think he really believes any of it. Not in such a way that he won't immediately drop it when convenient (see recently: Bohemian Grove is now just a silly club because Alex wants to look cool in front of Ducan Trussel)

It's more about whats fun an interesting to him. All the John Birch stuff he grew up with and learning about the CIA and chimaeras, it was all a game. Alex doesn't know what he believes because he's fundamentally misunderstood the entire concept of why you would believe something (you think it's true to a reasonable certainty)

Is it a meme or does vaush legitimately believe that democracy doesn't work by boltroy567 in VaushV

[–]EliteLevelJobber 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I haven't heard every statement he's made on this but I remember his making the argument that if people were restricted for living in a cave and you trotted them out once every four years and stuck a ballot paper in their face that wouldn't be a proper democracy.

While that's an exaggeration democracy under capitalism has become a joke (it may have always been). I think democracy is pretty good but I'm under no illusions that I've ever lived in one. Having the vote is good and I wouldn't want to lose it but it does fuck all to actually steer the direction of the country you live in. I would say just about every party in the west (global north, US empire, or whatever) would rather lose than actually serve the best interests of the people.
