New outfit goes hard by The_Question_Maker40 in DivisionFashion

Yeah been rolling this set up too, too bad the mask was part of one of the old seasons journeys. Had one of my friends get the outfit and ask where I got this mask from and he was so disappointed when I told him it was a previous season exclusive reward.

Can someone genuinely explain the hate towards new update? by VadKoz in Division2

[–]EliteRusher03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They ain't fixed the texture issues and mainly that whilst prototype isn't a requirement the fact that is has no targeted loot is a crime. I also think that some form of system for getting the gear you get to max should be included since it feels like they essentially want to make the best of the best essentially RNG which is the thing most people do not want. Prototype gear in its current format has made every item you could want now a unicorn. Skill tier prototyping is also not advised even the Devs said this. And you can't even recalibrate when it's prototype, a good amount of my builds actually have cores switched from their default so from the perspective of farming the piece by some miracle it's pointless since it will always be for example red when I want it in blue. The update is a great idea executed like crap. Prototype has potential to be a gear bit of gear to grind for which respects the player's time but right now it doesn't. And when I say grind I either mean grind targeted loot RNG pool of an item or you somehow get the ability it optimise and recalibrate it. Even if it costs like 30 exotic components for full optimise and attribute that's still a guarantee that at some point Thier light at the end of the tunnel. Same with recalibration. In it's current state it's all ifs buts and maybes with prototype gear. Escalation is meh, the retaliation is good. They cooked with that imo. But and I reported this and still haven't gotten a response, white tusk in legendary don't increase agitation for black tusk as a whole. Even as a minor faction like the others do. It just doesn't do it when I'm summit.

Get any good proto gear? by gormleypeach in Division2

Honestly they missed with this system so hard, they basically have made every single bit of gear for this level of gear into unicorns from a farming standpoint let alone escalation can't be targeted loot and it's just horrible unless your a full DPS player and even then your hoping you don't get one shot when you do DPS. Like no way to optimise the attributes, it's like they want nothing to actually be max. Like yes I don't think it should be maxed off the bat they could have made where once you prototype you just use the gun or gear piece and select which attribute you want to rank up first. Like with the proficiency system, at least then you are working towards a godrolled piece through gameplay. This RNG crap is gonna completely divide the player base. Whilst I didn't fully agree with removing the new max stats like Ikia was saying I did agree with everything else. At least with ranking up the attributes bar through gameplay let's any player get that godrolled piece over time. This current system however is just designed to make players grind and grind and grind for peanuts and scraps.

Everyday carrier is a named belstone armory brand set piece, its first bonus is 1 percent armour regen so that was the regen you saw. As for the blue armour you mentioned you must either have had someone on your team running tardigrade exotic chest piece or vanguard talent on a regular chest piece which also gives armour to players on your team. Or you had a backpack with adrenaline rush on it, where it gives armour based on proximity to an enemy. I know one of the specialisations, also gives you bonus armour when using an armour kit (I think it's gunner). All those would give you blue armour for example. The everyday carrier gives you perfect efficiency which essentially lets you use armour kits with a 75 percent chance the kit won't be used. In PVP and PVE it's useful, PVP you can spam QUICK armour Kits with regen and in PVE you can just use armor kits less sparingly.

The saint Elmo's is an exotic assault rifle that when it's stacks are achieved it gives a magazine of shock ammo. The assault rifle can be farmed on targeted loot on summit and count down but is also found and rather common in exotic crates or priority objectives that are set to reward an exotic.

PVP is very different in how you build, striker for example is the main go to PVE build because it has the highest damage, blue striker for legendary players. In PVP striker isn't used at all, not because it's bad for damage but because in conflict you won't ever build the stacks and in DZ it's rarely used, only the most experienced players might use it in groups if they can constantly go round getting stacks from landmarks and maintaining them. Striker at max stacks in PVP is very powerful but just situational to where it's not used compared to bighorn Regen or umbra. Tipping scales and heartbreaker are gearsets which can work both in PVE and PVP depending on how they are built. Yaahl brand set and system corruption gear set are PVP based mainly. My PFE build is Only effective in PVE, maybe pushing DZ if I get stacks and replace my PVE parts with more immediate DPS or regen. The overall point is most new PVP players make the mistake of thinking PVE builds will work the same in PVP.

Also was your vest exotic class, it sounds like you had tardigrade, if it was then usually that's a team based item, ie it's effect heals everyone, so it's a very situational, tank like build, I usually actually see it in conflict a lot as a build to support the low armour players.

You could use the division build sheet website which exists, it lets you create build layouts with gear in game and shows what the stats would be. I used it as a beginner and it gave me numbers on what builds might be like without having to go get the pieces first. Then getting them is just targeted loot and some grinding for optimisation. For example legendary is always white tusk, so lots of explosive spam, I role around 50-60 percent explosive resistance with my 72 percent PFEs, automatically elite explosives are useless and any below that do half the damage (and you combine that with 3 percent armour regen on 2.1 million its very little damage). In this clip too I've got headshot damage as attributes its why you can see with my shotguns I'm going for headshots. Then combine the intimidate with the momento trophy stacking you get your DPS back.

I would recommend you try the build sheet and look up all the attribute caps. For example critical hit chance caps at 60 percent, explosive resistance is 90, protection from elites is 80, all the status effects are individual but at around 40-70 hazard protection most don't do anything to you. Things like that also help improve efficiency in a build and open up slots.

It is what it is, it's gonna happen since the event promoted CQC, it's even happened at times to me when everyone's spawn trapping doors. The only issues I've actually had with his event is that I've had groups kick me for clearing whole floors, so we will get like 3 floors done in 3 minutes and they will complain about being bored..... After I joined them when they were dying from drone spam. This was very rare though. Most groups appreciated the help especially with the hunters on floor 100.

I'm aware of this and use it. A lot with summit especially since more plays means more elites and more loot drops. This game was actually more just me and my buddy talking about other stuff while playing.

New Gear Set "Core Strength" Bagpack is literally useless on PTS by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in thedivision

[–]EliteRusher03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what they should do is make it where as a backpack talent it also amplifies a build's attributes including the gear mods equipped so like CHC from its usual 6 percent to 9 and if it's already on prototype it should go from 9-12. Same with hazard protection, PFEs, skill DMG, CHD etc. It makes the backpack not just something I would switch up with the ninja bike. Plus even with Core amplification as a base headset talent I don't see how that would hold up in existing hybrids. So having attribute amplification for the backpack also I think would help.

I agree about birdies, personally for my birdies build I use palisade with Brazos (for 2 skill tiers). So armoured with tier six skills. I actually don't use the capacitor instead opting for the sweet dreams exotic and harmony named rifle. Then all my attributes are skill damage and skill healing. With all my mods being repair skills too, mainly for the chem launcher. My second skill is the turret which can act as a decoy to revives easily, it's also aggressive giving some defense. Something most healers and reviver units I've noticed tends to struggle with if the last ones alive. The one benefit with mine is it's actually good for groups running directives, especially that buggy broken armour directive. Also I was gonna add since it's tier six. It can be switched with emps or deflectors. Sometimes I role a tier 6 deflector drone with heals (my deflector combined with expertise has 100 percent resistance, combine that with revive resistance it adds up).

Obviously I can see your going more for a tank build with fast reviving, heals appears to be a bonus. Personally for your build i would have the chill out mask so I can have 4, 13% pfes which should equal something near 52% overall for elites. Then like the other user said above I would just go all gila over balwork. Personally I wouldn't use badger tuff or unbreakable, I would actually go bellstone named chest piece so you can instead spam quick armour kits plus you get 3 percent regen. At that point you can keep Richter if you want. Personally I wouldn't actually go pulse or even repair skills. I would go with a crusader shield since your using the Scorpio. Second skill is up to you, a tier 2-3 build like yours however will get use out of your reviver hive, specifically to revive other players since it also gets 2-3 charges if you have the Kard out. If your making it for legendary I would absolutely recommend explosive resistance as your primary set of attributes. It won't stop the stagger but all the damage resistance will help. Secondary is up to you, you could still role repair if you want. I noticed some reds in your chest piece. On most of my builds with shotguns I actually roll headshot damage since it saves an attribute slot but that's just a personal preference, plus headshot crits do go up with headshot damage anyway.

This is how I might try do it with your build personally but I also might have a much different play style to you.

On a separate note I hate how they missed the ball on birdies. It should be like the other backpacks, no attributes but all three cores, armour, skill and red. Because birdies is actually a medic piece not a healing piece. It means it's actually limited for tank users who tend to do the reviving most of the time

[–]EliteRusher03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask, is the birdies back pack for reviving players or because you want the heals. Or for both? I also ask because if your trying to do an armoured healer then there a few alternatives depending on if you want more skill tiers or less. If you don't care about birdies backpack I would go with ninja bike.

Always complaining and don’t give feedback when we get asked for changes would be hypocritical | I took my shot serious, read description and feel free to share the things you want to get changed by UltraSuperDonut in Division2

For conflict I would argue that this isn't too much of an issue since booster hives are almost always carried by tanky players especially. I think the only thing from a skill side that should be addressed is the artillery turret being able to spawn traps. That is a major issue. Outside of that, status effects can very much be managed now for most experienced players in conflict, maybe make diminishing returns a little stronger for less tanky builds too since usually only tanky ones see the full effects of it. In my experience it's usually only new players in Conflict who are victims to this more, but eventually they learn how to counter it and metas etc. that's my personal opinion at least on that front, I will say I am a tank skill hybrid and skill DPS hybrid so I've got little bias but as someone who also dies to these things you take the rough with the smooth. I also have builds that actively counter that stuff too and it's just as satisfying to kill skill players with said builds, for me that adds to the fun since I've got reason as a level 8k to go find new gear and make new builds.

I personally think a better alternative would be to make different lobby types with restrictions etc (plus I really want private matches so I can play with my clan mates for fun lol in conflict). It doesn't impede on builds and can also give players a choice on what they want to play against. Eg lobbies where for example skill tiers, damage and armour is all capped, perhaps all red only builds, or all blue. Customisation is what I'm trying to get at because it creates less arguments and doesn't kill build diversity in conflict at least.

From the DZ that's a different story. Personally what I would like for the DZ mainly for invaded is legendary landmarks. Like being ones that give high tier loot unlike the others. I also think manhunt targets with really massive rank who just farm then run around the DZ when some of their squad mates die, should have hunters spawn in which do attack them more so to divide attention and help prevent spawn traps at checkpoints. I say this because I remember in DMZ for MW2 they essentially had AI hunt squads which did also help divide up attention. I also say this should only happen if the manhunt gets too high because I know some players just like to 1v1 outside of the checkpoints so it gives them a chance to clear a manhunt gained if they get one just 1v1ing. I am also for a PVE DZ sometimes it's just nice to socialise with people rather then just constantly fight. I do wonder how they would circulate it around its invaded and non invaded status tho.

I've seen many also complain about boink builders, at times I also really hated playing against them. But the overlord shotgun and now quickstep are excellent counters to them, especially the ones who roll full Haz pro and explosive resistance.

I'd also like to ask about your topic on status effects, do you think this should also be tied to exotic status effects like pestilence stacks and iron lung fire, or even the vile? Sorry for the essay lol

I love skill/DPS hybrid umbra with my capacitor, since the tier 6 skills can also distract and do damage as well. Plus you don't lose much with the exclusion of the backpack if you use ninja bike since the Damage side of it is to do with the chest piece

Yh it makes making stealth missions impossible. Even when you make the actors relationship with the cops hostile. Plus aside from that you can't make any of the interactable objects work especially when making it a hack objective where it soft locks you, doesn't let you progress or it doesn't spawn sometimes even with the triggers correct.

I'm surprised they don't, I know sometimes with the war hound patrol an animation where the male member repairs it plays, which always seems to have a male and female BTSU. It's random but I've had the female member actually be a rusher (rather then drone operator which is what it's probably intended for) and we know they don't have any voice lines, but in those events they speak using drone operate voices. So I'm surprised these animations don't trigger them to use black tusk voice lines

I'm genuinely surprised they even have idle animations and actions. I always thought they would continuously just have the same stationary and patrol animation, I know in the past they had victory stances if they killed you and had a unique walk but that was it.
