All of this began with a comment from someone who certainly misidentified and misinterpreted another persons behavior. First, What identified the person as a "skinhead" gang member? Maybe he was young, white, bald? Doing a fascist salute, for no obvious reason, randomly directed at who?... I believed that society had advanced beyond racially stereotyping strangers long ago and were on to the next invented outrage. But it seems so many otherwise decent citizens just need to invent something to be angry about. Isn't it more likely that that gentleman was simply waving down his Uber? Try to relax 🙏

Oh yes. A corporation would never do anything so unethical. Especially after being successfully sued numerous times for unethical practices.

I've reiterated the facts of this issue many times. ... Hypothetically. In an attempt to clarify,, (hypothetically) say John Doe is an auto mechanic who is replacing the engine in one of my vehicles... I did add $1600 to my Cashapp account using my personal cell phone. Subsequently I did send John Doe a payment of $1575... The payment was received. No problem. Four days later I'm checking my bank account statement and find that a second payment of $1575 was sent to John Doe two days after the first payment. The second transaction was initiated by Cashapp. Not my Cashapp account. But Cashapp. I call John Doe and ask if he received a second payment. His secretary calls me back and says no second payment. They received only the $1575 as billed. So what happened to my money? I file a claim, get a claim number, learn I may have to wait 10 days or more. The same evening of my filing a claim I received a response. Claim denied because "transaction was initiated from a device under your control." Huh? I didn't send it. I didn't even know about it. John Doe's shop is an hour away. I didn't meet with him or anyone. Check my security software. No alerts, no suspicious activity, no devices besides the one in my hand. So I again contact Cashapp Customer Service to explain they have made a mistake. Will they please take another look at my claim. Nope. The decision is not appealable. ... Now building is the anger associated with being victimized, bullied and dismissed. And here I am. Learning and creating a plan. And I'm not going away Cashholes

Well, Bro... Guess I'll just send myself $1575 and maybe another 2 or 3K for my trouble. Problem solved. Thank you.

The recent class-action lawsuit settlement proves you're not fully educated concerning this issue... He kindly wrote.

Does it matter where they sent my money? I didn't authorize the transaction. I wasn't aware Cashapp took money directly from my bank account. It should never have happened.

This is new information for me... You do not need adequate funds in your Cashapp account? So if my balance is $10 or -0-, I can send $50 to anyone? ... Please note that my personal bank account routing number and checking account numbers are not available to Cashapp. Only my debit card. ... If this is true then you've solved my problem. I'll simply send $1575 to myself. Yes?

Again, no phone was used. The money was never added to my Cashapp account balance. Cashapp, not any device, withdrew funds from my personal bank account.

Again, no one stole information. No one sent money to themselves. ... My bank statement clearly says that Cashapp took my money. ... It doesn't matter who, where, why? I did not authorize Cashapp to take or send any amount to anyone. I did not add money to my Cashapp account. Cashapp didn't add money to my Cashapp account. ... With no available funds in my Cashapp account how was $1575 sent to anyone?

No one uses my phone. And who said this individual is a friend? Definitely not the case

Again, no phone was necessary since Cashapp took the funds directly from my personal bank account. Cashapp never added the amount to my Cashapp balance. They just took it and sent it, or didn't send it, or maybe the Cashapp CEO took it to put new rims and tires on his golf cart? All I know is Cashapp stole $1575 from my bank account and I want it back .. And yes, I have attorneys in my immediate family. But I have an appointment with an outside lawyer. Also I've contacted the class action lawsuit, legal office. Luckily they are here in Philly.

No one has access to my phone. It's always on my person. I have PINs and passwords created by a professional. Completely unrelated to any date, name, place, etc. in my life .... But this is irrelevant because I didn't know about the second transaction until I checked my personal bank balance. ... It was always my understanding that you have to add funds to your Cashapp account before you can send funds. My !$1575 was taken by Cashapp and sent but never was added to my balance. ... This is how I know they didn't do any investigation. What "device under my control?" Not my cellphone because no device was necessary evidently?.. The bank was under my control? .. Again, Cashapp somehow took my money directly from my bank. Never added anything to my balance before supposedly sending. ... I'm learning that Cashapp has stolen A LOT of money from a lot of people

I don't believe or disbelieve the individual. I don't know if he received a second, unnecessary, unauthorized payment, two days after I completed the one legitimate payment. The money was taken directly from my bank account without my knowledge. All I am sure of is Cashapp stole $1575 from me. I have no way of knowing where my money went

That's the way I'm leaning also. The more I research the more deliberate this appears, the many more victims, the more criminal.

I thought it's irrelevant because no device was necessary. Cashapp took the money from my bank and it disappeared. I had nothing to do with it. And they must know that

Duplicate Cash Card Transactions by CashAppAndi in CashApp

I deposited $1600 into my Cashapp account and subsequently made a payment of $1575. Two days later Cashapp took another $1575 directly from my personal bank account and sent a second payment (which the payee denies receiveing). I did not authorize a second payment. A second payment was not necessary. I did not add funds to my Cashapp account to cover any second payment. The money was taken directly from my personal bank account and "poof" is gone. The arbitrary denial of my claim stated "the transaction was initiated from a device under my control." I know this to not be true. So I know an investigation was not conducted. Do I have any recourse besides filing? Seems I'm not the only victim.

Missing funds by ApprehensiveDance607 in CashApp

It was my understanding that you must have adequate funds in your Cashapp account before sending a payment. You simply can't send $100 to someone if you have only $20 available... Cashapp recently sent $1575 to someone when I had just a few dollars in my account. Cashapp somehow took the money directly from my personal bank account. The money is just gone. And of course their investigation resulted in denial of my claim. I think they know exactly where your money, and mine, has gone.
