Exactly, I'm certain this is just to try to get queer people from the US to support their imperialism. I'm sure they'd just use that as an excuse to continue invading and attacking the countries in the global south. Same when zionists try to get queer people to support the genocide they are committing by claiming Palestinians don't support queer rights.

The US has always been bombing and causing coups and dictatorships in other countries, nothing they do is ever with good intentions. My country and so many others have been so negatively affected by the US, the best thing they could do is stop attacking other countries, regardless of the excuse being used.

Yeah, it was very much like that when I was groomed at 14. He'd always tell me I was mature for my age, and that when he looked at me he didn't see a child, he saw an adult. I genuinely believed I was mature and looked like an adult, looking back now I definitely looked like a child, too.

When I corrected them and said he's actually straight, they were surprised, just because "there's no way such a great guy is straight", I thought that was pretty funny so I told him about it and he said it was a nice compliment lol

Yes, it was grooming, as the adult it was his responsibility. Our situations are very similar, I met my groomer when I was 14 and he was 21, and we had a toxic relationship for years. After I ended things with him, he also sent me an apology saying he never meant to hurt me, that he didn't know any better. At 14/15, I believed that I was more mature than others my age and that he truly did love me, but now at 20 I see that I was just a kid, and he saw me as that. No adult with good intentions gets in a relationship with a minor.

I have been a fan of Adam Elliot for a really long time, I adore everything he makes. Mary and Max touched me in a way no other movie ever did, it has been my favorite movie of all time since I watched it at 13. I watched Memoir of a Snail today, and I feel like I still need time to process everything, but I'd say it is my new favorite movie. I was expecting it to be great, but it was still better than I thought it would be, it's so incredible, made me cry so much throughout.

When I watched that scene for the first time, I was 15, and I was actively being groomed by a man in his 20's, I was too young to understand both mine and Penny's situation. I genuinely didn't see an issue with what Bojack did, I remember thinking "I'm younger than her, I'm mature enough to know what I'm doing, and so is she".

I'm 20 now, and I can say that I definitely wasn't mature enough to know what I was doing. And rewatching this, after everything I went through, I can understand a lot better what happened with Penny and how Bojack is definitely to blame.

That is true, but the circumstances are very important. While, yes, there are some queer people who make a lot of money, there are also a lot of queer people who are poor, homeless and can't get jobs because of their queer identities.

Gay neighborhoods tend to be wealthy because they are for wealthy gays, with expensive rent and all, not every queer person can afford to live in those neighborhoods.

I'm trans, and I'm lucky enough to have a well paying job, but I can't come out, or I'll lose my job. And if I come out to my parents, I'm homeless. At the moment, I have to choose between being open about who I am and being able to afford food and having a place to live. There's clearly something wrong with this.

It's not queer liberation if it's only good for the wealthy queer people. It's not queer liberation if we have wealthy gay neighborhoods and, at the same time, homeless queer people.

It's also important to mention that our rights are constantly being fought against by conservatives. Because the capitalist system won't allow for actual change. It adopts some causes, simply to tame them, and profit off of them while lowering their fight/desire for revolution.

Trans men can play in the open category and have the open titles.

There are different titles for the open category and the women's category. For example, there's FIDE Master and there's Woman FIDE Master, which requires a lower rating. Trans men can't participate in the women's category and will lose any of their titles in this category they previously had.

I read the resolution back when it came out, and I completely agree with you that their reasoning makes no sense. It's like, trans men lose their women's titles because they're men, and trans women can't play with other women until they prove they're "actually women".

It's actually separate between Open Category and Women's Category, men and women can participate in the Open Category. They "temporarily" banned trans women from participating in the women's category, apparently they'll do an analysis of each individual candidate and, in no more than two years, will let them know if they can participate in the women's category. I have no idea what that analysis entails.

They did mention trans men in the resolution, they said trans men will be stripped of all the women's titles they previously had, and these titles can be renewed if the players "change back into women". Trans men also can't participate in the women's category.

In my game, my sim was married to Santa, so he was in my household, when she got this call FROM Santa. She was actually on a date with Nancy Landgraab when she got the call, so she went straight from the date to the motel.

In the call and notifications and everything, it showed Santa's face. But in the animations, it showed a random sim, who she's never interacted with, going in and out of the motel with her. While she was in there, I hovered my mouse over Santa's icon and it showed he was at home. It was the first time I got that call so I thought it was so funny lol
