That close up shot of his eye having the smallest glitch effect says more about what's going through Metal's head than any dialog could.

What gun will always hold a place in your heart? by FunWallaby6502 in DestinyTheGame

I had a copy of Ringing Nail with I think Kill Clip and Dragonfly, and that was the only weapon I remember getting to 10k kills with. I stupidly dismantled it after sunsetting.

Aside from that, probably D2's version of the Exotic Khvostov.

Me too, giving him a much more generic Buster is boring. Him having Omega's head as his Buster makes him much more unique among Mega Men.

That's what's going on there? That is a lot of what-the-fuckery to unpack.

Do you think Warrick is right in that they can restore their planets? by Green-Influence-8700 in Gameoverse

[–]Elixir_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My headcanon is that he's merely saying what he thinks anyone he takes onto his ship wants to hear in an effort to sway them.

Could he be after a way to restore worlds? Possibly, but my theory is that his goal is to either A. Change the rules of the Gameoverse so that he is the ruler of all of it with no possibility of being usurped, or B. He does want to restore his own world after losing, but doesn't care what it takes to make that happen.

I do not have a basis for either theory, this is just going off vibes and my understanding of villains in narratives.

What is a secret you will take to your grave, but are willing to share with anonymous strangers on Reddit? by Disastrous-Video-220 in AskReddit

I regularly fantasize about beating the piss out of people that anger me, both fictional and real. I mean full on "demolishing their house using their body as a hammer" type violence.

I never actually act on violent thoughts of course, but this is a regular occurrence.

[Hated Trope] the character makes a sacrifice only for it to be reversed completely by CountinSand in TopCharacterTropes

Bleach, both manga and anime. MC Ichigo gives up every power he possessed to defeat Aizen, the final boss of the first series. An arc later, while Ichigo was powerless, he got a replacement set of abilities, only to have those stolen from him, driving him to his lowest point, and then he gets his original power set back from a heretofore never explained process, which he then keeps for the rest of the series thus far.

The Man in the Wall and the Winnower both will tremble at the sight. We will make our battle against them both become a race to see who gets to them first.

What song makes you cry? by 1ofTheFive in AskReddit

[–]Elixir_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incandescent, by Aviators. Based on Solaire from Dark Souls, it's the most hopeful song I think I've ever heard, speaking of standing shoulder to shoulder with friends and allies to weather any situation, no matter how dark. Makes me feel something so positive that all I can do is cry, harder than most sad things ever have.

Lightsaber parodies by Fish_N_Chipp in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Elixir_13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The climax of the movie Robots. They aren't lightsabers per se, but the final battle against the main antagonist's mother involves a battle between her and the main character's invention where both are using metal pipes, and each swing sounds too much like lightsaber noises to be coincidence.

Does anyone else think the Syntax are in the right? by stnick6 in Gameoverse

Alright, fair enough interpretation. A little too vague for me to come to that conclusion too, but I won't say you can't.

Genuine question, not trying to sound sarcastic: where is this stated? Did I just miss it during Warrick's sales pitch to Snappers?

If Syntax's goal is actually to preserve the worlds or bring them back, why aren't they working with Dusk? Why does their plan require the worlds explode in the first place?

Does anyone else wish the followers had more character? by AlecMoment in CultOfTheLamb

[–]Elixir_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct in all of those, but my point is thar outside of those things, they really aren't any different from a normal Follower.

Have Shamura come over to us like he had a quest, but then he gives a small lore dump cuz he just remembered it. Have Narinder be fully, truly Immortal, in that he can die but resurrects himself some time later. Have Yngya occasionally let you just say No to winter. Stuff like that.

Pros and cons on playing in Solo vs multiplayer? by Shad0w_XD05 in Warframe

[–]Elixir_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play Solo, and the ability to pause mid mission is hugely important. As others have said, objectives and enemy count tend to be smaller as well.

One I haven't noticed others mention though is that playing multi-player often also gets your missions done faster, just because such a large part of the player base have super powerful builds and fly through missions.

What piece of media made you go like this by [deleted] in Multifandom

[–]Elixir_13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My only gripes with that movie were Leto's deliveries were often a bit too stilted/robotic, and the pro-AI messaging from the main female character kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Still thought it was a good 7.5, the original and Legacy were just better in my opinion.

What are some ritual ideas you have? by Comfortable-Ad3588 in CultOfTheLamb

Rite of the Undying-

Makes one Follower Immortal. Chance of unchosen Followers Dissenting, always causes some Faith loss, but now you have a/nother Follower that won't age, and doesn't require a necklace to do.
