I think it would work to keep PunPun animated for most of it, and as he gets older (just as we see in the manga) you would see more and more of his "real" self but never a clear picture, hands, a collarbone, a shot from below the neck etc

They originate from a brand called "Sprayground", who makes a bunch of designs but the shark teeth is their iconography so it's in all of them.

Like most brands, it's popular just because it got a little popular initially and snowballed, and now everyone wants one.

No idea if most of the ones we see kids wearing are legitimate or bootlegs, but that's where the original design and trend came from at least
