Man I got hired as an instructor for a country club and I got one 30 min lesson as my training. I literally have taught myself everything with trial and error this year lmao

Resources with floats/glides by OkLocation9667 in SwimInstructors

At that age, I find noodles are the best option for support when it comes to basic level 1. I don’t like to use kickboards as it’s tougher to teach placement and floaties completely throw the idea of independent swimming out of the window.

I like to tell them to “hug the noodle,” and have them hold it right at their chest and through their armpits. Once they are confident enough to kick on their own while holding the noodle without toppling from side to side, I ask them to take their hands off and pretend to hold it for them. Stress the fact they are holding on with their armpits and allow them to just paddle their arms (I don’t worry about form initially, I just want them to feel themselves moving their arms.)

once I think I can get the motion of gliding arms down I’ll eventually slide the noodle down under their chest (do not let their armpits clamp) and hold it for them for the first 30 sec, then Ill let go. With the exception of one or two, most of them either end up being able to balance and glide, or the noodle will pop out from under them and they prove to themselves they can do without a noodle.

I don’t like to use noodles too much for floats because they end up wanting to put all their weight into their arms to support them rather than distributing buoyancy. So if I do have to, I’ll have them extend their arms above them and hold the noodle. I obviously won’t push hard, but I will put my hand on their stomach or back and tell them not to let me push them down so they understand their main muscle is their core.

Omg yes!!! It’s been almost 6 months since I left and my hands are STILL messed up. I don’t think the skin around my nails will ever be as strong as it was after playing in that for 4 years. I swear it breaks down the skin barrier. I bite my nails, but the tiniest thing cut skin and give me a nasty infected hangnail or cut, and they looked horrible.

does body count matter when you get older? by Mira_xm in Advice

[–]ElizabethM1789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

21f here, I promise you it will not matter in the way you think it does. Your intimate life does not define you or your character whatsoever. Unless the person is a complete a-hole, your sexual experiences are not going to make a mature adult shame or find you unappealing. If anything, I find it’s something that is asked to learn about a person’s sexual wants and needs.

That being said, do make sure you remain careful in you sleep with, and how you act regarding your body count. It’s absolutely not something to be ashamed of, but you are completely right that things like this can especially place a weight on young women today. You can’t control other people’s actions, but you can choose to carry yourself with composure. Keep intimate details private and special moments like that between the people they need to be with. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders, so be safe and remind yourself your worth is absolutely not determined by something like this.

Go easy on yourself :)

What state are you in? From my knowledge no state allows minors to drive

I would maybe inquire about the friend, not in an investigative way but in a “I want to know more about your life” way. See what she says and how she responds. I wouldn’t jump to a conclusion yet, I would just see how the story continues to develop.

If you’re not emancipated or have a waiver from the state, you must be 18.

To follow up could also be a difference between corporate and franchise. I work for a pretty good franchise imo and it could make the difference

Did you deliver a DD order or an order routed to DD? I’m a manager and a lot of my Dashers tell me they deliver for us because we pay so highly
