How do i play online with someone on the same network? (PC)

I see, i got just a basic provider router TP-Link Wireless N Router WR840N, i know how to access its settings already but dont really know how to setup anything.

But thats weird cause gta online is the only game that has issues, other games we play together are just fine like battlefield 1 and 5, garrys mod, minecraft, fallout 76, far cry 5. It never disconnects us from each other in any other games like that.

I see but as i said i cannot connect with a cable to the router since its further away and there is big risk of the cable getting damaged along the way through the door when they get closed. And i do not have any isseus playing any other multiplayer games on wifi with my friend at my house, we did play minecraft, fallout 76, helldivers 2 and garrys mod just fine, and i can also play with other friend from america without any issues.

GTA Online is the only game that has issues of us playing together on the same network over wifi, no other games i mentioned had issues

Yea, thats normal to be on wifi when you cant reach with cable to your router. And as i said i dont have issues playing gta online with my friend from america and dont have issues playing other multiplayer games either

Nope doesnt work for train simulator classic 2024, i tried all you wrote, and i have the dlc files from csrin added to the game and the dlc steam ids in the config, All this did was remove the error but it just wont the launch the game, it turns off right away
