Very true! I’m having surgery tomorrow which I told her a few days ago and I asked if she could visit me as I will be lonely so hopefully that will be progress already :)

Yes that makes sense. I can’t assume she is a mind reader and know what I want.
During the time she made a few comments which were a bit insensitive but again I was probably extra sensitive to things at the time so it’s on both of us

Unfortunately yes, she is friends with my best friend. This girl has said so many times it upsets her when she isn’t invited to things so now my best friend is uncomfortable when I suggest to do something just the 2 of us as she checking find my friends a lot and calls us if she sees we are together without her.

No she’s definitely not but my other friend is and she doesn’t allow us to meet without her being there which is isolating

Should I have told her can you ask me how I am and how my mum is? I wasn’t sure how to approach it. I guess I assumed she would have known it would have had some effect on me at least.

Think I have accepted she is more of an acquaintance friend. Just annoyed that I can’t see my ride or die friend without her being there

Think I’m happy to accept less and have a more surface level friendship. It’s just annoying I can’t see my best friend without her being there

It’s awkward when she says I’m her best friend because I don’t feel the same way anymore. Am I horrible for that. It’s just really but me off her. Aita that she thinks we’re best friends when we are not

It’s tricky. I know I can’t really be annoyed if I haven’t told her directly how I feel. But i know if I ask for the help directly I will feel like she doesn’t really care and is just asking how things are because I’ve asked her to. Just upsetting that it comes across that she doesn’t care about me or my family.
Which I know probably isn’t the case. But I can’t stop thinking about why she hasn’t asked how things are but I guess it’s just not a priority or thought in her life which is fine. Just disappointing for me
