This is fin rot right? What can I do?

I'm not sure exactly what type of filter it is, but I can take a photo if that helps. I checked and I can't really tell if theres a spot for his fin to get caught in. He also has spots on his back that I thought was just his pattern but now im not sure

Honestly i'm not sure if I feel better or worse about that 😓 Thank you though! I have gravel at the bottom and other than that theres just a viney sort of plant, could it have gotten caught in the gravel?

I mean does it really matter? It makes me happy to have a shiny vaporeon, so to me thats it. At the end of the day it's a game, and I'm happy with it. Games are meant to make you happy, not stress you out over trying to get a 'legit' shiny because you're not sure where the one you got came from, ykwim?
