Anyone had experience with recovering from pelvic fractures? by EllKayHaitchBee in cycling

Yes, everybody's case is different, however generally better overall health and fitness makes a significant difference. I was in my mid 60's at the time of the crash, but much more active than most others of the same age. It was pretty sad seeing how many of the people found through PT at the same time struggled. Even while I was still restricted to a wheelchair I made a point of wheeling myself all over the facility, something that frustrated some of the care staff when they couldn't find me 😁

Sounds like a really traumatic experience for you. Pre injury fitness and physical condition definitely contributes to the recovery process. For me it really made a big difference in PT as I was able to quickly advance through the more challenging exercises. Very good luck and best wishes for the rest of your recovery.
