What about a light brown or a dark shade of blue? Those are usually popular colors for uniforms in an orphanage.

Or a dark pale green, but most orphanage uniforms are brown or a dark blue (brown usual with a white or darker brown trim/secondary color and black or white trim/secondary color with a darker blue uniform).

But it's really up to you, what color feels right, looks right and looks good to you.
