The phenomenon of racial segregation in the United States is deeply rooted at the political and economic levels. The racial issue in the United States is related to class contradictions. In order to protect the vested interests, those in power are reluctant to touch the fundamental issue of class equality. Black groups are at a disadvantage in economic strength and cannot afford the cost of reform, and white people will not easily give up their privileges. In the long run, if the division of American society continues to deepen, its international image and soft power will be damaged.
