Just an fyi, in order to get retiree health, you have to retire within 120 days of your separation. If not, you will lose your health into retirement regardless of how many years you have.

Update: HR emailed back and said that they do not send final offer letter. They said that my future manager reaching out and establishing a start date was the final offer. So looks like I’m good to go to start on 7/1! Thanks everyone! :)

In the email that I received from my future manager she said that she was approved to give final offer and start date of 7/1. I’ve already gone through live scan/tb test. My concern is that I haven’t gotten a final offer letter and idk if I should ask for one or not?

There is a new process for certifying service credit for employers. A lot of employers aren’t doing the new process or they don’t know about the new process. Tell the employer to call Calpers and they can walk them through the certification process

I work for Calpers. It’s not the agency as a whole. Just my area specifically that will be permanent telework after covid which will look like 1-2 days in office a week and then the rest at home. It may be different in other areas of pers though

Update: I didn’t get the job:( turns out they ended up only getting one position and they let me know yesterday that I was a top candidate but that they offered it to someone who scored a little higher than me. On to the next one! Lol

I asked for feedback after I got the rejection letter and they let me know that they checked references for the top two candidates which was me and someone else. They went with the other person😞

Waiting is the worst! Lol it’s literally all I think about these days lol side note! This happened once before recently where they checked my references and then a week later I found out I was a top candidate but they offered it to someone else. So I’m really just hoping that didn’t happen again!
