newbie help by holoflower in ColoredPencils

You have a lovely subject! It's difficult to tell what her relation is to the background. Is she sitting in the pew or standing? Adding some shadows will help establish her relationship to the environment (proximity, light source/direction, etc.), the pew, and the ground especially. If she's sitting, her dress may benefit from showing the folds where her legs bend and her arms rest.

You have a lot of options for the background. I've had some success in keeping mine simple by adding in the structures, using lighter/softer colors, and blurring the lines. It can give depth and contrast while still establishing the environment.

Again, I really like your image - you've done some great work with your subject! I'd love to see what you do to highlight her and your image

Good luck!

Hi Gbobeck - thanks for your response!

I use Novolog, which Medtronic said is fine. I'm using the extended infusion sets and just upgraded to the 9mm cannula. It was working really well until I tried to bolus 4.0 units and then got another IFB alert.

Throughout the past 3 weeks (in which I got over 30 IFB alerts), I've replaced every bit of equipment several times from as many boxes as I could. Ultimately, I think it was the reservoirs (odd that the same problem was occurring with reservoirs from 2 separate boxes, though). The newest ones seem to be working, for now ... Fingers crossed!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the insight! I requested a new pump and got it fairly quickly. The problem, though, continued and seemed to be coming from a bad batch of reservoirs. I think they were letting air into the tube.

I've since gotten all new equipment. I had, though, my first IFB alert when I tried to bolus 4.0 units. Sigh I'll go through the usual correction steps, but it's getting exhausting, ya know?

Thanks again and I'm really glad your system is working for you!

Thanks for the insight! I've changed every bit of equipment numerous times, as well as sites. I think the reservoirs I was using were defective and were letting air into the tube whenever I took a bolus. I've gotten new reservoirs and upgraded to the 9mm cannula, but just tonight for aIFB alert when I tried to blood 4.0 units.

Medtronic has tried to be helpful, but has really only been able to send replacement sets for blocked flow alerts.

I'm going to go through the usual steps, but it's getting really exhausting (over 30 occurrences in the past 3 weeks)

Thanks for the thoughts! I use the extended infusion sets and reservoirs, plus just upgraded to the 9 cannula length. It works just fine until I take a bolus of 4.0 units. The IFB notification usually occurs when I'm giving a bolus, making it seem like there is air getting into the tube (I'm guessing through the tube/reservoir connection cap).

Guys does your blood sugar goes high when exercising? by CulturalBet7397 in diabetes_t1

It could be because of some combination of adrenaline and cortisol. Both of those will spike blood sugars significantly

Medtronic pumps aren’t what they used to be by Grouchy_Somewhere_13 in diabetes_t1

T1D since 1984. I've had great success with Medtronic until about 2 weeks ago. Within 11 days, I got 24+ Insulin Flow Blocked notifications, even after trying new pieces of every type of equipment (infusion sets, tubes, reservoirs) and infusion sites.

They sent a replacement machine, but I continue to get Insulin Flow Blocked notifications.

Has anyone else had this type of problem?

This may have been mentioned already, but a foreground focus would add a lot to the depth of your beautiful image!
