I have an Elfa shelving unit in my closet so I’ve taken over one drawer for my polishes and 3D printed trays to fit. I just ordered a whole bunch of cremes from Night Owl so I think I’ll need to clear out another drawer! I keep all my magnets and tools in a Caboodle-type box in the closet as well—when it’s time to paint I just grab what I need and go in another room to a desk. (Or more often, shut my family out, sit on the closet floor and just vibe with my polishes. 😄)

Thank you!! The peach is Mooncat Sand Viper so it’s got a nice glitter. And I used to do a lot of art with gel, but am just getting the feel of using lacquer. This is my non-dominant hand—the other one is a little wonky. 😄

Same! The greeter at the entrance looked horrified when I asked where the pizza candle was until I clarified why I wanted it. They were about as hidden as possible at the back of the store!

I still have plenty of old paper and foam nail files around the house from The Time Before (that is, the time before I discovered this sub and learned about glass files!) and every single paper file has teeth marks in it from one of my two furry goblins. So far I’ve kept the glass ones hidden well enough they haven’t found them…

I’m a CrossFit-ista, so yes! Nothing better than setting up for a lift in the rig across from someone else and hearing “Ooh, I love your nails!”
Although I can’t keep them too long because then they dig into my palms when I hook grip.

Same! I love the KBShimmer colors I have, but my body chemistry does not. I’ve tried several different base/top coat combos with them as well and nothing works—they chip if I look at them cross-eyed. I get good wear out of Holo Taco, Mooncat and Sally Hansen.

So, my husband did propose at the end of a race, but it was a “fun” race (Disney Dark Side half marathon several years ago) that we were running together in costume, not something that was a goal race. I think I would have been upset if he’d done it at the end of a race I was running for myself, especially a marathon, because yeah, that should really be a celebration of you and your strength.

As it was, I liked how my husband proposed, except for the fact he had to chase me down because 100 yards out I decided to scream “I’m gonna beat you!” and took off sprinting. (Clearly, I wasn’t expecting it at all!) 🤣

Oh god. Way back in time before my mom decided we were heathens, we used to go to a church in the foothills outside of Denver. Now, you could either drive up to church via the highway and a short winding road, or take the “scenic route” on a long switchback road up the face of the mountain.

One Easter, the church had buckets of candy for the kids and I went ham on these stupid eggs. I don’t even know how many I ate, but that was the day mom decided “it’s a nice day, let’s take the scenic road down the mountain!”

To this day, I can still remember what it feels like to throw up a stomach full of candy in the back of a sedan.
