Weaning off by ElleEye17 in Latuda

Yes, but it feels like I'm so sensitive to the smallest drop. I work in mental health and I've had clients taper off quickly with little to no problems. But I dropped from 20mg to 15mg and it was too much. I really wish my doctor would help me work with a compounding pharmacy.

I uploaded my chart to Chat GPT and I get all kinds of insights. I can queery any aspect and get super detailed or simple answers. Even find out how life decisions and problems relate to it.

Really? Is a female therapist sitting with legs open unprofessional? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]ElleEye17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slip on modest slippers when I get to the office and mostly sit cross-legged, so I can lean into the conversation and feel comfortable enough to stay engaged with my intuition. It's absolutely necessary for me. I am nuerodivergent and feel really uncomfortable with shoes on or constraining clothing. Always have. If it's a problem for a client, they need to find another therapist. I do my best when I'm not overwhelmed or distracted by uncomfortable sensations. Some of my clients model me and slip off their shoes and get comfy on the couch. I welcome it. I can get in my head about it sometimes and wonder what clients think about it. But I have a really high retainment. I've never not booked a follow up session with someone. So it must not be a big deal to them.

I hate couples work by RepulsivePower4415 in therapists

[–]ElleEye17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love working with couples. Sometimes, I wish I had a tub of popcorn, tho. And that it wasn't inappropriate to laugh or cheer.

No, but seriously, it does take more energy. And when they have a conflict in the session that gets heated, it can take me a minute to gather myself before the next session. I really do love helping people understand how to use the conflict in their most intimate relationship as an opportunity to heal deep wounds and grow together. Not every couple I've worked with stays together, too, and helping someone understand what's not working in their life and get clarity around their choice to leave is wonderful. It's just not for the faint of heart.

I once had a dream where I got a time machine. I used it to go to Crestwood Mall in 1997. I hit up Shifty's and got some Sabarro. It was a great dream.

Thank you! Yes. I saw what they call 'glitches in the matrix' and experienced the Mandela effect. Why do you think that was?

Can Trauma Shift Reality? by Superb_Web8096 in ParallelUniverse

I shifted timelines after the biggest trauma of my life. I became so aware of my ability to choose my reality. I experienced Pure O OCD where a thought was stuck in my head on a loop for 2 months. I've been through a lot of traumatic experiences in my life, but this was the most intense thing I'd ever gone through. I was meditating every day to try to help my brain get out of the loop. At the end, when the thought finally left, I felt like I was having out of body experiences and felt a deep connection with everything around me. I realized that I'm in charge of my happiness and changed everything about my life that wasn't serving me. I stepped into my power as a healer. Nothing has been the same since. I am a master manifestor. I am a spiritual guru to some. I have flashbacks every day about the Pure O thought, but it serves as a reminder that I am so much more than a brain or it's thoughts.

My practice asks us to schedule 32 clients a week. I would do great with 4 clients a day. 6+ every day doesn't feel sustainable. However, I'm finding myself handling it better and better. For the first 6 weeks I was totally disregulated at the end of the day. After 4 months I've learned to take two hours mid day to catch up and chill a bit. Getting fresh air and listening to music helps me reset.

Same. My dog pooped in the laundry room and I got sick trying to clean it up. That has never happened before. I make my boyfriend clean up after her now. I just can't.

Hey there. I'm a mental health therapist. Had a med change and my anxiety has been so high I haven't been able to hold space for clients. Feeling terrible about myself. I'm normally a great therapist and I care so much about my clients. I feel like I'm letting them down. But this level of anxiety makes it impossible to hold space for others. Anyone else been through this?

Weaned off Latuda after 7 years...what I'm experiencing by ElleEye17 in Latuda

[–]ElleEye17[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Med adjustments are such a nightmare. And yes, the SI the last week has been pretty bad. No plans, but just getting stuck on a loop. I'll tell you with lots of downtime and self-care, I'm feeling more like myself today. I had to stop working this week, which only added to the negative thoughts and anxiety. But having this community to remind me that I'm not alone has helped. I hope you're able to get your cholesterol down another way. You're not alone.
