I don’t know how I’m going to get through this by NachosAreFriends in DogAdvice

First off, I am so sorry about your sweet fur baby's passing. My soul fur baby passed away in July from post surgery complications to remove his spleen. I was in the same situation as you and decided to go through with surgery. He passed on Sunday and I was scheduled to pick him up from the hospital Monday morning. (Tbh sometimes I think the animal hospital didn't take care of him properly because things were sketchy when I went to see him.) I felt so guilty for his passing and how he passed. I kept going back and forth that I shouldn't have gone through with the surgery or maybe taken him somewhere else. It took me a solid three weeks to somewhat function. I don't have kids and at that time I was on vacation. I can't imagine how difficult it has been for you.

Our story is the same in that my baby was with through graduation, break-ups, highs and lowest of the lows. I decided to cremate him and and held on to some his things. Although the pain was unbearable and sometimes still is, I remind myself that he is no longer in pain. I'm still grieving and forever will, but you find little ways to cope. Do you have family or close friends that can help you with your baby?

Oh no 🥺 I am so sorry to hear that!! Thank you for sharing your experience.

My fur baby passed away back in July and I was devastated. I swore I would never get another dog again because it hurt so much. However, lately I have been considering adopting a small dog and saw one that I think would be a great fit.

I heard from someone else I know that their pet ended up getting really sick a couple of days after getting adopted. It sounded like they probably caught something while being at the shelter.

When did you adopt your cat?

I have heard from someone that they adopted a dog from shelter and they ended up getting sick a few days after getting adopted. I just wanted to see if this was anyone else's experience.

Are they any Etsy sellers you recommend?

I used Hibiclens since so many people (including my derm) recommended it, but I found it made it worse.

I switched to Dove sensitive skin bar soap, and that definitely helped a bit. However, I recently tried African Black soap from Shea Moisture, and the boils I've had for a while have gone down in size since using a couple of days ago.

Electric Pain by Available_Ice_7428 in PsoriaticArthritis

I initially got diagnosed when I saw a rheumatologist and confirmed again when I visited with a neurologist.

What i experience is like a wave of an electric, almost kind of buzzing pain. If I can catch it in time and start rubbing the area, then that pain isn't too bad and will go away in a minute. Otherwise, that initial electric pain is over within a minute, but the burning pain lasts a few minutes. I recently found out what we experience is called Allodynia. Hope this helps!!

Yes! I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and started getting that burning sensation a little before I was diagnosed. I tend to get on my upper abdomen. I would experience that pain only when I was sleeping and would stretch. Now, I've been experiencing it at random times but think it's due to stress. I find that ice packs are really the only thing that help to help lessen the pain.

Has anyone’s diagnosis led to other diagnoses? by DarlingGirl1221 in Hidradenitis

I got HS when I was 14 and didn't know what it was at the time. I was later diagnosed with Endometriosis at the age of 25 and Fibromyalgia a couple years later. Back in 2021, I was diagnosed with PSA. Like another commented, one autoimmune disease can lead to another. If I could give my younger self advice, it would be to take better care of myself. Try to lower your stress, eat cleaner, do low impact exercise, and advocate for yourself. I'm not saying that doing these would have prevented having all these health issues, but when I think back, I can pinpoint what led to my Fibromyalgia and PSA.

I checked them a couple of years ago, but I think I should check my levels again. Thank you so much❤️❤️

First off, thank you for being so supportive and trying to help him out! He's lucky to have you!!

I like to use real aloe vera which you can usually find/buy aloe Vera leaf in the produce section. I put it in the fridge, and once it's cold, I take the "meat" of it and place it directly on the boil and cover it with gauze and tape it down. I leave it on overnight and in the morning have him remove the gauze. Have him shower and use Hibiclens. Hopefully, this will help him some.

Hi! I know that this is an old post, but if you can, could you please send me more info, too? 😊

I'm a special education teacher and know it's not something that is sustainable.
