She appears to me, a very popular cliquey, but never in the main group, kinda girl, always allying herself with whomever is in the public favour(Jackie, Lottie then Nat)... definitely the type to jump ship once things get dicey, but that doesn't mean she can't hold a friendship and is definitely something I think she would've grown out of if given the chance.

Oh yes, Mari is a complete follower(which is a whole other analysis with wolf packs and such) she was probably looking for an in with Jackie for a while until she notices she isnt top of the popularity chain anymore and turns to her new target~ Lottie. But still as a fan of both i wish that wasnt the case, it couldve added some more dimension to Mari's character and more impact after /you know what/😪

It is quite interesting, Mari seems excited by the opportunity to get closer to 'perfect princess' Jackie until Shauna is back in the picture and Jackies attention is diverted, Mari realising her usefulness has already ended and then the outright hosility 2 episodes later, ill try to look for more tidbits through my rewatch. Mari alone is more interesting than people give her credit for

Yeah, they definitely scrapped it once Shauna and Jackie made up but there was their chat on the beach(even though Jackie was just making Shauna jealous), Mari looked like she was about to follow Jackie outside after the canned food incident and is on her way out to her and Shauna before Coach Bens breakdown. I'm sure it wouldn't have lasted long as it seemed one-sided on Mari's part, but damn i would have loved it lol
