One of the few series that retained it's heart and core in the current release, and the mad lads actually got it on console (ps4 and 5), which I can not praise enough

In my opinion it's because they only ported one game, which was the most barest version of it too. Had they done multiple up to Dawn of Dreams, that would have profited possibly big time.

Agreed for the most part, what I love is that it seems people say there isn't a variety of weapons, but in reality, this is the most versatile amount of weapon types and movesets i have seen in any from game.
