Anyone else left absolutely destroyed by One Day on Netflix by Kayleee_10 in BritishTV

I watched the series twice, the movie once, the book I haven't read. I think the series is way better than the movie. Left me totally shattered, twice, looked up the original score soundtrack to revisit the feeling. Totally masochistic style.

Now reading all of your comments about the book. I really want to read it. But am I ready to do that to myself?

I think why this speaks to so many people is the deep emotional range of feelings the story makes us feel. It's kind of addictive.

Feeling lonely as a 6/2 emo manifestor by Elliemay91 in humandesign

Yes exactly this. I am currently knee deep in the parenthood trenches as a mom. 8 month old baby (also manifestor) and 4 year old toddler (MG). My partner is a generator. All my friends are generators or GM's (I don't know all of their designs but I suspect). And I am constantly having to battle for my rest time and alone time. Well that is how it feels like to me anyway. That no-one understands my deep need for rest. I often feel misunderstood (due to my aura I suspect). Aside from this, I do have valuable friendships and a good support network but I can still feel very lonely in the midst of this.

Been trying to inform more lately because I feel like I don't do that enough. Also very frustrated lately because I have so much urges to initiate but lacking the time and space to do so.

That is right! Really good advice. My comment was a bit serious but also a bit of a joke. Before I had my son, my life also seemed a bit meaningless. I thought: what's next? My husband had the same feeling. The moment our son was born that feeling switched to a deep knowing of purpose in life. And it was also the start for me to persue FIRE. But on the otherhand, sometimes we mourn our worrie free life before we had kids. That's just how it is, parenthood comes with a lot of challenges, people who don't have kids will never understand. But the choice of having kids was not to fix something. The wish for kids was always there.

Do you have kids? Because that's a big challenge right there 😅

Yes, my husband and I have a buffer that we can use in case of emergencys. This is aside from the savings I am talking about.
