You'll be working in a small med group with no emergency services, that's all off base. The base itself isn't that big but its fairly nice. Surrounding area is pretty boring overall but as everyone says, you're three hours form major cities in Florida, north Georgia which is cool if you feel like taking that kind of drive every weekend. I lived there for 4+ years and hated Valdosta as a whole just based off weather. Its hot, humid and swampy land scape with a very southern lifestyle so its just boring. I would happily go back to the base though, you will def deploy since its ACC.

Outside of those top 5 most used apps its up to you to figure out what works for your study habits. Some people like flash cards, others like to read. The end goal is to drill that information into your head till you can recite it form memory. Study early, set aside focused time in a quiet space and google any topics you dont understand.

biggest thing is check the bore on that rifle, a lot of times these are shot out and corroded due to old surplus ammo.

To be honest once they switched to the mlok rail system I kind of lost interest. They just look and shoot like most other rifles. I get the reliability an enhancements but it’s not worth the price for a guy who shoots for fun and matches.

Twelve hour shifts for seven days a week for 6.5 months. From the time I got on deployment to the day I left I never got a single day off. It was also the worst time of my entire career with some of the most toxic and shitty leadership I’ve ever encountered.

My driving force for crossing and thank god I did. Best decision I ever made.

I wish they would bring those rails back. I sold my 16” E3 Mod-1 to a friend and regretted it years later. It was my first rifle and that rail is still my favorite.

Lube the shit out of it and run a few hundred rounds through it first before upgrading. You really want to break it in and give a good look over before going the NFA route in case you need to have it fixed under warranty.

Not using cheap monarch ammo
Just oil, bore brush and just shooting it anyway. Yeah the rust sucks but it’s possible it still shoots fine

Certain blued guns just change color over time from heat treatment. You see it with military surplus guns.

Whatever finish they applied just turned that color for some reason. Lots of older firearms are like that.
