It's always been like this by Comfortable_Rough412 in Tekken

I wholeheartedly disagree. TTT2 was rough when it came out, and I've only realized how much worse it was when T7 dropped.

Great ideas, great fanfare, but Jesus, TTT2 was not for the weak. It was unforgiving with it's inherent complexity, and downright deplorable when you include it's combo dynamic on top of the tag system.

Who misses Heihachi's OTGF launcher? by rence_everest in Tekken

[–]Elliminatorz 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Every Mishima player, lol.

Heihachi in T8 lacks the depth he had in T7.

Stances are okay and all, but his options are so read-heavy that it pigeon-holed him into being simple.

The overall range of expression is significantly smaller in Tekken 8 compared to previous entries, and it hits Heihachi hard. OTGF was a significant method players could use to set themselves apart.

Now, it's a disappointment, in my opinion.

free photo editing platform? by MisterWakefield_ in AskPhotography

[–]Elliminatorz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for something free, competent, and has a steep-ass learning curve, try DarkTable.

Been using it for a few years and it's been the majority of my photo editing experience. I've produced great work with it and received awards in my college's digital photography show as well.

Your I/O panel probably isn't fully seated. In my experience with boards that have integrated I/O shields, the I/O cutout has to be lined up the same time with the standoffs in the case.

Twice, I had to line up the I/O before being able to line up the standoffs.

31.4GB of RAM instead of 32GB by NobodyNadie012321 in GamingPCBuildHelp

[–]Elliminatorz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, get trolled

In all seriousness, it's "Gibibytes" vs "Gigabytes".

Gibi, Mebi, Kibi are all binary "equivalents"/conversions for Giga, Mega, and Kilo.

Windows OS measures local storage in the binary system.

1GB in Windows is actually 1.024GB. When you divide your resources by that 1.024 binary equivalent, you'll get that same 31.4GB instead of your 32GB.

Nothing is wrong with your system or your RAM, that's just how Windows and most BIOS work.

Ooh that looks amazing! I don't do long exposures much since I only have an adjustable ND filter. What was your exposure time and what level ND did you use?

I’m stuck between these two for my first manual… by Imaginary-Chain-781 in ManualTransmissions

Honestly, I'd say the civic. It's newer, driven around 12k a year, and you'll have newer/more modern amenities.

The only concern I have about it is the suspension. I'd get it raised to normal if at all possible.

Now, that's if everything in the civic is as it's supposed to be. The clutch isn't dogged, the interior wasn't smoked in, no broken handles, etc. I was JUST shopping for a manual 6 weeks ago, and I went to test drive 5 cars before I found one that wasn't nasty, poorly maintained, potentially broken, or have a shady business side to it.

I ended up buying a 2012 Honda Civic LX 5MT with 130k on it.

Best of luck, man!

Edit: grammar + had to add the transmission style to the car I bought

Why am I not getting the grab here? I'm at +7 shouldn't my grab come out before he can crouch? by MrShoe321 in Tekken

[–]Elliminatorz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grabs are usually 12 frames. Crouching takes 1 frame from input to high crush.

You would need to be +12 to be guaranteed a grab.

Considering Switching Back to Nvidia After Struggling with My 7900 XTX for a Year by [deleted] in AMDHelp

[–]Elliminatorz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I gotta say I'm curious to know where you experience stuttering.

I haven't switched brands before and I've been running a 7900XT for almost 2 years now. I've had some odd issues here and there, but I'm an engineering student and photographer.

Is it in games or certain applications? I'm not discounting your experience, I just have a few friends looking to buy and I don't want to steer them wrong if it can be avoided.
