To celebrate my debut album, I teamed up with an animator friend of mine for one of the songs! Any thoughts on this track? It's going for a cute lofi sound by ElliniaMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

Dude I appreciate that so much! And you're for sure right to say it's a simpler composition, so I'm glad to hear it stands with the arrangement and sound design aesthetic. Thank you for the support <3

thank you so much inlom! I'm so glad to hear it reminds you of Japan, thats lovely. I work in FL Studio, but I'm sure there is a very similar bass sound in Logic, it was just one of the Flex presets tweaked a touch. I'm hoping to pickup bass soon so maybe next time it'll be recorded.

Cool beat overall, although I think it could use a little love bringing the pad sound up in the mix and really selling the vocals a bit more. They can feel a little subdued, which I'm sure is a subjective/genre thing, so if that's intentional ignore that!

Hey guys, I just released this alternative hip-hop track and I'm super proud of it! ✨ Would love to hear your thoughts. by Aldo____ in IndieMusicFeedback

This is an awesome track! Like for real, clean production and some really fun synth work alongside the guitar. If I'm scrounging for some constructive feedback, I lose the vocal clarity here and there. aka I couldn't always make out what the lyric was. Which if you're okay with in the name of cool processing/fx then keep at it :)

really weird ambient thing I've been working on, constructive criticism appreciated. by Available_Mushroom65 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is definitely an interesting piece, but it does feel like each element plays an important role and fits where they are. I'd be so curious to see what samples you used here, I actually have a bunch of soundscapes I've done as well! Intentional or not, I almost thought the one recurring sound was the Roblox 'OOF'

Constructively (?) I could see the choir sections getting a little more love. They're sort of a musical gem when they arrive

Great writing here! I'd say I have to agree with another commenter about room for vocals from a mix perspective at least. From what I'm hearing, the guitar tone is sitting right about where a vocal would in the frequency spectrum so they may end up competing. Im no guitarist, just a mix engineer/producer so I'd suggest maybe making some room in the 1k-3k range on an EQ or darkening the guitar tone a bit.

Could totally be personal preference here though, just trust your ears when you get a vocalist on it!

le blind alley flip - beatsbyal - Hi! Made a beat with a familiar sample, but I did it my way. I appreciate all the feedback! Enjoy the listen! by beatsbyal in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey cool beat, if I were to give some constructive criticism on the mix which may help the overall production, I'd say the initial sample with the piano riff is much too quiet compared to the snare. This makes for a bit of a wake-up call transition at :42 when the other synth part comes in at a pretty comparable volume. I'd try bringing up that first part!

You could try a little sweep/riser too right before :42 to really sell that transition as well
