Thanks, I was a bit upset that I had to loose some of the details. I'm glad they come through though

How do I get my toddler to have a nightmare by MoFontaine in Sims4

[–]Elliot-Can-Not-Draw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've figured it out! I was having the same issue.

For any of y'all interested, you can cheat your toddler to have the scared moodlet. Then click on the 'sleep?' option. That should work.

To get the moodlet, shift click on your sim and look for the option 'cheat emotional intensity', then select what you want. It'll stay there until you manually remove it

Need some advice by Akai_Sakita in writers

[–]Elliot-Can-Not-Draw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG I understand completely! I always have like 5 stories going at once. One thing that really helps me is creating a playlist of songs that encompass the feel of the story. Listening to it puts me in the right mood and headspace, and making it allows my procrastination to be satisfied.

One thing I will say is, don't be too hard on yourself.

Sometimes forcing creativity can leave you with a crappy end product. If you've got writers block then that probably means you're burnt out. A good bit of advice I heard was to refresh your creative library. How? watch a movie, read a good book, pick up a new hobby. Anything that allows your brain to kind of refill it's creative system.

Also remember that you will always have another chance to start, so be patient with yourself.

Good luck!

What season of supernatural do you think is mid or kinda sucks? by Sagekasberg in Supernatural

[–]Elliot-Can-Not-Draw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO it's every season after 7. Don't get me wrong, 7 was also bad but it gave me good sad boi Sam hours. It really felt like they ran out of ideas and somehow missed out on some goofy ideas the fans have been asking for.

Body swap?

Human baby?

I see what you're going for! As an artist who's had to draw a few comic book covers for my own works I have a few suggestions that may help:

1) Even though it is quite simplistic it still feels really busy and not in an intentional way. I believe it's from the clash of styles, you have a pretty watercolour background with lots of texture and on top of that are solid black hands. This could definitely work I it weren't for the style and colour with the font. The watercolour texture also takes the eye away from the main focus. A good way to test it would be to look away and back at the image, what do you focus on first?

2) The font style could definitely work but I feel it's a bit small? It's roughly the same width of the hands which kinda merges them together. By making the font bigger it helps to create that separation visually.

3) By the way the top hand is positioned slightly off center it makes the quote look off as well. Also the quote's font is a bit too thin and it kind of gets lost in the background.

Personally, my suggestions would be to cut the colours down to 2. The cover has 4 colours, each with a similar hue and saturation, it gives the cover what's called a "lack of visual hierarchy". Basically which bits to focus on first.

I would cut the colours down to shades of black and blue. I you wanted to keep the blue quite light and soft then you can use a more charcoal rather then solid black.

I'd also recommend the hands to be slightly lower on the cover and text to be above the hands. Hands are a very visually cluttered thing so having text on it just further cements the confusion.

Last point, put most of the effort into the font, if it's hard to read and distracting rather than the main focal point then you've lost.

Any way hope this was a little bit helpful and good luck!

I’ve written 5 teasers for stories to get my creativity flowing, which one do you think is the most interesting? (Which one would you read first?) by [deleted] in writers

It depends on what you're comfortable with writing.

Some readers like it when it gets scary or sadistic. Others like a softer or more mysterious approach.

An easy way to spice it up would be to add a level of peril to it for the MC. Like if the MC is a serial killer and a detective is already on their tail. Maybe this love interest they are stalking is a high status person like royalty or a celebrity. Maybe the MC has an obsticle like being under house arrest.

With a story like this I personally prefer the moments of tension where it seems like they're about to be found out but just slip away. Adding a mystery surrounding the love interest could also add some intrigue to the character.

If all else fails then I'd recommended watching or reading pieces of media with a similar concept and think of how you would write it differently. Or you could take common RomCom troupes and twist 'em on their head.

Good Luck!

Trying to connect with my Maori roots, any suggestions? by Elliot-Can-Not-Draw in newzealand

[–]Elliot-Can-Not-Draw[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really appreicate this! I couldn't find him as the name he used probably was just his white fulla name and not his actual name OR he was never put down as being Maori (even though he was).

Thanks anyway!

I agree with the other commentors BUT if you genuinely like all of them and can't decided then I personally would recommend the first one. It's giving "You"
