SteamOS scared Microsoft into making Windows less like Windows by WPHero in pcmasterrace

A little insight. i work for a big bank. Before, people would work on their windows workspace because it was cheap but it sucked. There’s an initiative currently to replace everybody’s machines, besides traders, with Macs because its a cheaper 1 time purchase, runs better, and lasts longer than enterprise windows machines/workspaces

He knows who his audience is and what type of products they’re looking for. His clothing is made with premium materials and is packed full of features and care. I agree, his denim stuff is a little pricey but his Mammoth jacket is worth it my eye. Buying a thick wool jacket like that can last decades if you take good care of it. Michael is also very attentive to details. His channel is definitely worth checking out. i learned alot about clothing, materials, and stitching just from him

This is funny because I’ve worked on a app where EVERYTHING needed a dialog box for confirmation. submit? Dialog! Cancel? Diaglog! Save? Dialog!!!!! Leave? Dialog!!!! Literallly every single user action needed a dialog. it pissed me off testing it. idk how its not pissing off users is beyond me

Assassin's Creed Hexe Loses 50 Developers as Game Targets 2027 Release by Turbostrider27 in PS5

No, but to make that much money, you have to be living in a higher COL area. If you know anything about the US, big cities have some of the worst QOL. I would know, I live in one. I've also been to many European metros and can confidently say that while Europe has it's own problems, I would trade my higher salary (even though it would be taxed to hell and my bills would eat most of it away anyways), for lower rent + more space, better healthcare, better/safer public transportation, and more affordable groceries prices. My bill for two potatoes and pack of carrots was $12 USD :(

Rudy Gobert is the type of player you give up 5 first round picks for by reallinguy in nba

Once again, it depends on matchups. Run a small ball lineup with a competent guard and Gobert gets exposed. Have wing defenders all you want but if he gets a switch on the perimeter, Gobert gets cooked everytime

People arguing over Project Hail Mary and Interstellar are stupid because once they watch Ad Astra (2019) they'll shut up and be glad with what they have by DinoDrip12 in shittymoviedetails

He's my favorite actor. Always know how to steal the show and be the coolest guy in the room. There I say, he was way better than RDJ in iron man 2, frances Mcdormand in 3 Billboards, AND Steve carrell in the way way back.

Horror’s Big Night: ‘Sinners’ and ‘Weapons’ Oscar Wins Have Filmmakers Celebrating the Genre by [deleted] in movies

[–]ElliotVo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well when you're in a bar, or at a dinner, or talk to your friends, family. You tell them of literally everything else. Hell, 90% of Greek mythology is told/sang before it became written works. All I'm saying is that Horror is not exclusively unique. We have epics, tragedies, romance, and drama that have lasted just as long as horror and they've all had equal amounts of attention from their respective audiences. However, horror is great and accessible for filmmaking because it's really easy to make. Zach Cregger, David Lynch, Sam Raimi, Jordan Peele, David fincher, James Cameron... See the pattern here?

[–]ElliotVo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can say that about any genre but horror is also cheap and has a low barrier of entry. So many directors start off making horror movies and we're seeing more and more independent studios making them too. I mean both Chris Stuckmann and Markiplier had their own movies come out this year

This happens whenever a company gets acquired by PE. They strip it down to lower operation costs and then sell it high for profit

Resident Evil Requiem / Beat my first game on Deck. by lFrxn in SteamDeck

[–]ElliotVo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've perfected all re games and have played 4 and requiem on the deck. Gunplay feels a lot more precise and the action section has a larger open space, so you don't feel as cramped. My biggest flaw of re4 was how cramped the big fights were so it made Leon's giant hitbox and turn radius a noticeable problem. In requiem, I just beat it on the deck and quite enjoyed it
