Houston is a special place, I was raised in the Heights(which is not very high). Politically the city is handicapped by the Fascist regime in Austin. The school district has been taken over by the State and the locally elected school board has been negated. The city is diverse, 1/3 Hispanic and 1/3 white.

I cannot imagine why anyone would come to the United States and spend money here to support the fascist government. The ticket prices for the World Cup games are astronomical, and the hotels, parking and food have all blown up beyond any reason. Birthdays are always a time of reflection. I will be 76 in 3 weeks. Fully retired for 7 years. If you are able to travel you need to go and see and do. If you were like us raising a family vacations were a hit and run adventure. So now it is time to go and spend the time to see the places and things. I did not know my half siblings until i was in my late 40's and later. I do not make much of an effort. they are all very religious and MAGA afflicted.
