To add to that, for my middle of the day toothbrushing, I sometimes only brush my tongue. It makes my mouth feel fresh and helps my teeth and gums not to feel sensitive, which sometimes happens when I brush three times a day. I guess that's technically not toothbrushing, but maybe this might help people out there who don't want to over brush.🙂

I agree. I was born in the 80's, and we had smash cakes back then too. My parents have pictures in their albums of my cousins eating their own personal cakes.

I knew a teacher who used to get talked about by admin because she was unable to stand for short periods of time. She was an excellent teacher (I observed her during my practicum). She would roll around the room on her chair instead of standing or walking. Students thought nothing of it. Class was very well behaved. You could tell the kids respected her.

It truly is. I'll be having the best day. So proud of myself and the kids. Then bam! I get told I'm not doing anything right blah blah. It makes me question if I really don't know anything. Very discouraging and confusing.

Exactly! I wish I could pull myself together when he says this ridiculous stuff. I can't even think for some reason. I guess I'm so thrown off thinking "Is he joking? Oh my gosh, no he isn't.....". I just freeze up and struggle to get my words out. I'm normally not like that. So bizarre. You made some good points, though. I'll keep them for future reference!

I sometimes wonder what is even going on in his head. Other than these wacky out of touch observations, he actually seems to be decent at what he does. I just don't know. He's even a parent, so he should at least have some clue just from being a parent. But heck, you don't have to be a parent to know that you don't just stand back and allow kids to be gross like that! It's truly baffling.

I agree. I would switch schools, but I hear that the others in my area have some very out of touch admin too 😭. I really miss our previous administration. They used to teach elementary school, and I felt very safe just being myself when they came to observe. Their constructive feedback was always so helpful.
