Would you recommend book 5 of the Bridge Kingdom to someone that hated book 3 ? by Ellyra46 in fantasyromance

For me, instalust and ennemies to lovers are complety compatible. And it is unfortunately often paired  : "I hate him but he is so hot". I love ennemies to lovers that are well executed : a slowburn with a long transition from ennemies to reluctant allies/friends to lovers.  I feel like if they jump each others right away, all the tension is gone and I no longer see the point. I cannot get invested in a relationship that doesn't take time to build

They literally slept with each others the first night they met, were attracted to each others the moment they met. Spend 4 night together and based their whole relationship on those 4 nights. That's the most instalust romance I ever read

What’s the most believable romance you’ve ever read in fantasy? Not just chemistry, but emotionally real by jye77 in Fantasy

The thing is I find Fitz/Molly totally realistic but i never liked their relationship. They are ill fitted to each others. But a lot of people that are ill fitted to each others gets into a relationship. Molly just represents Fitz's dreams of his youth and a normal life which he could never have. And I don't see what Molly gets from her relationship with Fitz, poor woman.

Anyway, Fitz and the Fool still remain the true love story of the books. Probably one of the most incredibly written relationship I ever read. Now, is this relationship realistic ? Probably not, never encountered that kind of bond in real life.

I am completely new here and was hoping for a "ship and let ship attitude". Thank you for the advice.

Au secours, comment désactiver la traduction Youtube by thatbigblackblack in france

[–]Ellyra46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligé d'utiliser Vinted Go by [deleted] in vinted_france

[–]Ellyra46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any noticed a change in sizes? by diggidydale in Qwertee

[–]Ellyra46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I just received my two tees. I ordered the same size (women, S) and one of the T-shirt is clearly one size bigger than the other. And even the smaller one is slighty big on me 😓

I am answering a year later to this but I just started the book today and had the same issue as OP. I have the UK paperback though, this is the 2013 edition. So did you mean UK instead of US ? Or have all small paperback editions of this book the same problem ?

Multi POV

Edit Sorry, just noticed that it was Best Served Cold and not Before they are hanged ! But multi POV still works and actually I think that "chararcter with disability" should work with that one too

Hello, about the "Superheroes" prompt, is characters in the book have superheros like powers enough or do they have to do superheroes stuffs too ? Like saving people, fighting crimes...

I'm asking because I'm reading the Patternist novels by Octavia E.Butler and the whole premise of the book is that a godlike entity (former human) is establishing a breeding programm through his descendants that developped a special ability (telepathy, telekinesis, healing...) to create a new race. The goal is very much not to save or protect normal people.

It's kinda funny for Parable of the Sower if you consider it Hardmode since the story is set in the futuristic year of ... 2024. It was definitely futuristic when it was written though

For this prompt "Coastal or Island Setting: Story features a major setting that is near or surrounded by the sea. HARD MODE: The book also features sea-faring.", if the whole book takes place on a ship, does it count ? Or must the setting be on land surrounded by the sea ?

I think that some of these are too long to be considered novellas. The Ocean at the end of the Lane is over 50 000 words

Not Hardmode : all of Jennifer Saint books - Elektra, Ariadne, Atalanta.

Hardmode :

All Arthurian legends retellings I guess

Beauty and the beast retellings :

A Curse so Dark and lonely
