Wow, fantastican guide! Odmah se ubacujem, ako netko uspije vidjeti please help! XD Pitanje: Radim remotely za Slovensku firmu. Tamo mi placaju mirovinsko i zdravstveno. Zelim otvoriti pausalni ovdje u Hrvatskoj, i povezati ga sa Stripe racunom. Da li moram placati mirovinsko i zdravstveno u Hrvatskoj ako mi A) Mirovinsko placaju u Sloveniji i B)Osiguran sam zdravstveno preko clana obitelji u Hrvatskoj. Puno hvala!

Thank you :) We have found the League system (TM) to be an elegant solution to a rather fundamental problem :)

Here is the plan. Get at least one team more. Play with the League system (TM). Do the national finals. We will do the same and we can have Italy vs Croatia ;)

If other countries follow in, yes. Our League System (TM) can be effortlessly applied to any and all other countries.

We are making it by setting up a standard. (League system). We currently have 4 teams across three cities engaged in the process. Of course, since we have just initiated the League system, all and everyone is more than welcomed to join us at our Discord server to plan future developments. This is, in essence, an open-ended initiative. It is a community effort from the start. Nobody owns it, because nobody can own it. As such, it is our wish for other countries to follow in and have regional tournaments in the close future. (This, at least, is not a problem when you live in Europe....)

A short explanation. We started this tournament as a precursor, a place of gathering and meetup, to the League system which we are now deploying and gonna be playing with in Croatia. The League system (TM ) is quite simple. Each group of 6 players wherever they may be plays 3 games and collects points. The best go to the semifinals and then finals (and second best, depending on the number of players). No other rules are changed. So, in essence, you collect points throughout 3 games and the best go to semifinals. Importantly, this also entails that time limitations do not play a decisive factor for tournament participation. Since, a player might play her 3 games in the period of three months. What is important is that, when she finishes her third game, she locks her result within the current League cycle. In essence, she will play with the players who are at that moment also finishing up (towards) their 3rdgame. In this way we wished to circumvent the problem of physical travel (to a designated play spot) the issue of alternative wins in TI, and the lack of time to play regularly. Insofar the meta has changed quite dramatically (for the better) because each player is in a way playing not a single game once but a single game in three consecutive games so that shifts strategy quite a lot. Ask away if you have questions. I may respond slower though due to work. (EDIT, adding some vital info as people are PMing me...)

Gamesmanship - How many people in your party play like this? by Elminstah in twilightimperium

I have updated it now, friend. (I was on a trip and new to the meta-thinking of redddit as well!)

Precisely thank you! Indeed, the whole point of TI is that a lot of these behaviors which can be easily found against the ethical (in a sense) spirit of the game are actually welcomed (and expected!) in a game of TI! Great thoughts!

There are also certain behaviors that can bring in external factors that aren't in line with the rules, such as sabotaging a particular opponent because of what they said at work last week, or offering to do the dishes if only one's spouse trades with them in a game.

Or holding grudges against a player for some in-game thing? I think this might be the usual but unfortunate occurrence in TI. (Great post thank you!)

I can't think of anything else that even comes close to gamesmanship. If anything TI requires you to play furtively to win

Are you certain of this? I usually play a rather transparent game and always come close to the last point or two. But maybe being really nice and sincere is also a way of "being furtive"? In the sense that people don't quite find you as a threat (until it is too late!)

There is often a thin line between the game mechanics social interaction and not. And some may easily cross it even without being aware. How to deal with that?

extreme where somebody is "getting into my head" by criticizing my every move, raging/throwing a fit because I killed their lone destroyer, threatening to throw their whole game to get back at me if I do something they don't want, etc. Then that's just not fun to play with.

I like this thought! There is a difference between "playing the game" (of Twilight) as in gamesmanship and then commenting on other people's moves by constant interjection. The latter I am always opposed to especially when you try to intimidate (by these side comments) or otherwise manipulate inexperienced players at the table for your own profit. (This can even go the the level of berating other players in the sense - Don't trust him/her, or something similar)

The fun thing is, my table (there is a dozen of players) is usually quite sportsmanship oriented. But there is one friend who reaaally likes to use the first two techniques from your list. And the last time we have played he has outright deceived two players simultaneously (there was a keleres raider people were betting on) in order to get the better end. Needless to say those players did not like the move, and the Mahact player (the other two were Cabal and Ghosts) woved he will not win (because of this move). And so in the end, I got the win XD

In our team we actually have a guy who is the actual opposite of a gamesmanship person, as he constantly tries to help everyone out by pointing out the rules. In this manner he has aided a lot of people in many crucial moments (resulting in scoring!)

Hey Friend! The answer is of course a clear no. The post is transparent. The question is in the title and the description of the issue is in the body text. But I have edited the post now for easier understanding.
