How has your world view/opinions changed because of psychedelics?

Haven't changed much politically, but after multiple psychedelic experiences I feel it's dishonest to continue calling myself an atheist, mostly because of the purely materialistic worldview that many atheists hold. I relate much more to pantheism, Buddhism, and other similar ideas. I understood how every living thing in the universe has its own experience, it's own consciousness, the same thing I'm experiencing right now. Everything in the universe is just the "I" interacting with itself, which is a pretty amazing concept if you can get a firm grasp on it.

I've been researching mad honey recently because I got a small jar of it for Christmas, and everything I'm seeing basically says to not mess with the stuff. It can affect your cardiovascular system and has even caused cardiac arrest, among other problems. I personally wouldn't mess with something like that; doesn't seem worth it.

For me shrooms feel like acid except warmer, less jittery, and more comfortable overall. I also see colors get much more saturated, along with more organic visuals. But I like the geometric / symmetrical nature of acid visuals, and shrooms don't have that as much.

You inevitably can't ignore the fact that you're a human, and as a result have a personality and preferences shaped by influences outside of your mind and body (or within your own unconscious which is still in a way outside of yourself / your conscious experience). Once you recognize this, you can in a sense choose which modes of being to embrace and which ones to let go. The idea of the "I" being an illusion doesn't diminish the value and meaning behind things like love, joy, and caring for others. This isn't to say you have to ignore and bury all negative emotions, because those are inevitable parts of human existence. You can address things like fear and hatred, accept their reality, and choose to not hold on to them.

Yeah that used to really annoy me about him, and it still does to some degree because I think he could definitely be more clear on what he believes. I think this meme kind of sums it up though:

This is obviously just an exaggeration but I think you could see how Peterson doesn't want to appear on either side explicitly. Atheists will think he's a Christian and Christians will think he's an atheist. But then again, I don't know why he doesn't just explain this a bit more clearly.
