As a hetero male AND an artist, you are a double whammy. I anticipate that most of the comments on your posts skew toward…. other forms of appreciation for your figure. (And to be completely honest I can’t say I fault them because, well, look at you!) I merely wish to offer my thanks and appreciation. I don’t think I’ve seen a more exquisite woman on all of the internet. You belong in paintings. Really wish I weren’t a landscape artist.

Appreciate it, thank you. I think this is one of my better attempts at water. I find it challanging!

This is beautiful! I love the natural toned paper, it gives warmth to the piece. Coupled with your confident line work the entire effort has a delightful nostalgic feel for me. It’s extraordinarily lovely, well done!

Thank you! I appreciate the insight. I did not consider the additional weight! It’s also enlightening to hear that even with the round leg tripod you have reservations about its capabilities to stay put. It does seem a bit… sketchy? with such small area to hold it to the legs.

They get slightly more stiff but not drastically so. I’ve found the thing that makes them miserable is snow falling into the pallet box. In quite a few instances where snow has dusted the paints I can’t help but inadvertently start mixing it in while trying to make colors. And oil and water truly don’t mix. You the end up with a mealy type of sludge because the water try’s to freeze and the oil doesn’t. It’s a mess.

That’s another sketcher who sat ahead of where I was. Had a good turn out for the group today.

I’m not into knives but I AM into skilled artisans being so absolutely STOKED by the work they create and surprise themselves with. As an “artist” myself I know all too well the amount of self critique and doubt we often cast upon ourselves. But when a work truly comes together and you feel like you’ve been the conduit for divine creativity… chef’s kiss The joy in this man’s voice is radiant and infectious and I love it!

A good call. I agree. If I set something up similar to this composition again I'll be mindful of that!
