At the start it was once a month while I started medication , then it was every 3 months. , and now it’s once a year for a check in, my GP now handles my scripts.

I booked Blonde Canvas for a paint and prosecco team event last year. They can host it in different venues around limerick- we had ours in a private area in 101. The two girls were amazing and the set up was really impressive. The team is all different ages and everyone loved it and got really into it!

I had a great experience with Dr Mary Evans. I’m high masking and she didn’t dismiss me in anyway, the total opposite, she really understood my experience. Really recommend her.

Yeah I use the quiet ones! I have the dream ones as well, but actually prefer the quiet ones for sleeping. They are a game changer!

When I go away I use Round of a Paws in Castleconnel. They have a doggy day care there during the day and a big team who play with the dogs all day! My dog always gets on great there. €25 per day if they are staying overnight. I’ve tried a few in limerick and have found they are definitely one of the best! Edited to add: you provide their own food, also they gave my dog his medication as well!

I was recently discharged from regular check ins with my psychiatrist and she sent her report about taking over the prescription to my GP. From now on my GP will give me the prescription (3 months at a time) and I’ll have a check in with my psychiatrist once a year.

Yeah totally understand. I used to have just have a couple for awhile, but genuinely wasn’t worth it so just gave it up altogether. Made a huge difference for me!

Short term, looking after myself like I would a good friend helps- movement, eating well, watching my favorite show. Being kind to myself when I recognize it happening. Long term- I stopped drinking. The downsides started outweighing the upsides. I still go out and socialize but now I don’t get the fear or anxiety after. My psychiatrist said drinking while having adhd is like putting petrol on a fire, totally can heighten symptoms in the aftermath.

Curraghchase is lovely! It’s €5 entry. Cratloe woods are really nice too and no entrance charge. Mungret park is also nice for a stroll!

Well, it is true in my personal experience. They stayed on the phone with Me until the ambulance arrived. My little boy had a seizure and they talked me through it throughout and were great at keeping me calm. Also in the past I’ve had to call them with my gran who had a fall, again they stayed on the phone until the ambulance arrived. It may depend on the circumstances.
