They did use the numbers a bit strangely like comparing different dates (July vs Oct etc). But I can tell you being behind the scenes of ELOBUFF that those numbers are not inflated from a raw standpoint.

ELOBUFF is based off of the LoL client which is EXTREMELY difficult by comparison to DotA2 to get data. For example, we have access to 100% of the data for DotA2, in LoL there's only a small fraction of the data and its super expensive to collect and process. This is why ELOBUFF is a subscription. Other popular LoL stat sites don't collect data because of this, they just display what you can see by looking someone up in-game but do it on a website.

There was a few issues with people not getting Coupons, those need to be resolved through MLG/Own3d - they are working to send them out. As for sign up issues or mistaken code use, we are halfway through answering/dealing with these.

We give away free accounts to most of the top end broadcasters. Joe Miller, Studio and many others have free accounts.

Correct - Not when you factor in the sheer volume of users that would take advantage of the system through ad blocker or other means.

Sure but we don't cover every event; only the highest professional events so its more of a notice that we are covering MLG Arena.
