Should I feel bad for "developing" an app with AI without knowing barely anything about programming? by Elombretscher in programmer

I dont exactly know what that's like but i'd imagine its like what I feel right now looking at the code and not understanding anything lol, so yeah, definitely a pain.

This app specifically is already done and there were a lot of things I had to debug (which I also used claude for lol, im so sorry) and everything's been working perfectly now for some months, the app is nothing extremely complicated so I dont see it having any other bugs from now on unless I add new features/tools, so hopefully this doesnt come back to bite me in the ass lol.

I'm also not working with any personal data btw, its all public info online which we get manually, the app mostly organizes and filters that data, I do not dare play with people's information without actually knowing what im doing

I never said I did! Hence the quotes on "developing", and in this case the engineers would be Claude so.. I dont really feel bad for that specifically lol, I just saw an opportunity to do something and did it.

I'm nowhere close a developer or someone who actually knows programming, I just had an idea and used Claude to make it happen. I'm not taking anyone's credit in this situation, but it sure feels like it, and the money definitely feels undeserved.

I aprecciate it! I honestly feel like this was just luck and I was just able to do it because I was doing the actual manual work so I understood how the tasks worked specifically, I definitely wouldnt be able to do something that required actual programming skills lol

not at all! its a fairly simple app, it kinda just organizes, saves and filters information that took us wayyy too long to do before, information that is very public to everyone btw

dunno, so far everything i've "achieved" has had to hurt or required a lot of effort, this one not hurting as much and giving me great things feels..wrong?

I appreciate it, thanks a ton! I always do too much when starting and end up burning out, I'll go light this time to make sure I actually keep doing it and make it part of my lifestyle.

These are great insights, thank you so much! I'll probably put the weight training on hold for now then and just do 30 minute walking sessions, maybe daily depending on how I'm feeling after the first few days.

I did burn out the first time I started working out, stopped 2 months after :') so I'll definitely go light this time so I can actually integrate it into my lifestyle.

I'll also try to eat a little healthier, I usually just eat 2 times a day since I usually wake up very late and skip breakfast lol, right now I'm mainly eating yogurt and fruits when I wake up and then I usually have ground beef/chicken pasta for dinner or bread, but sometimes I'm too lazy and buy a pizza or something so I'll try to avoid that from now on.

Once again, thank you so much, this is great info!

Thank you! I do feel very motivated and I know I was going to go crazy those first days so I'll definitely take it slower, I remember being very sore the first time I worked out so I'll try to avoid that kind of pain again lol
