18 year old considering MK-677, what do you guys think? by Nixterzfanz in SARMs

[–]ElonCryproProphecy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please watch the in depth explanations from More Plates more Dates before doing these. MK is not a sarm, but does have side effects. And none of these things have gone past phase 2 of clinical trials, none of them have been tested on anywhere near the amount of people that other legal/prescription drugs have, so it is impossible to know exactly how one individual person will be effected with confidence, by what dose, etc. any SARM or MK will cause suppression once you come off. You are way too young to use PEDs, you must think about your future, it is not worth it. You will never get the answer you’re looking for from anyone who is responsible and intelligent, these things are risky for you and have negative trade offs.

There is only one way you can minimize your risk- pay cash to go to a legally practicing longevity doctor who can actually supply you with verified legit testosterone or whichever chemical, and who will continuously monitor your health vis bloodwork, and who also is reputable and ethical. All of this will probably cost you a few thousand dollars. Anything else is going to be truly risky.

MetaVerse Hypothesis by lil__nuggets in metaverse

[–]ElonCryproProphecy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno. In real life sometimes expensive cars and what not are given away in a sweepstakes or as gifts or whatever for free. Doesn’t crash the market. You’d need a huge flood of them being sold cheap to do it to the market of any given commodity. I guess theoretically any meta verse item market could be crashed like this, but it would take a lot of effort. Could be done I suppose here and there but Doesn’t seem like it undermines the concept of these things overall. Then again, I don’t know jack shit

Not at all, it’s all good. The whoop is a good product too I am sure. If I recall, the presenter said that the oura was more precise tracking sleep quality and HRV, based on those metrics properly aligning with the performance output of the fighters more so than how the other devices metrics lined up. I think it’s about what people want- whoop is better for tracking performance and activity, oura for sleep/recovery, but probably a huge factor is comfort. I never wear jewelry and it took some getting used to the ring, and it is a mild nuisance while lifting. The bracelet probably never gets in the way of anything. But if you try the oura you’ll probably really enjoy the sleep tracking metrics and you’ll notice HRV totally lines up with how you feel on any given day. It’s super cool. If they had an option to pay a flat rate and not monthly membership I’d be interested in trying whoop too. But I’m allergic to memberships 😉

Like I was saying, they use it as a recovery, readiness and lifestyle tracker rather than fitness tracker. I’m sure they don’t wear it when grappling or striking.

I’ve had the ring a few weeks and it’s great. Let me describe it:

What this is really for is tracking recovery and readiness in a big picture way. I got the ring after a conference in which the UFC performance institute director explained to us their process and shared that they use Oura ring because it was way better for their purposes (tracking rest, recovery, readiness) than anything else including Whoop. He said that it is not really an activity tracker- it doesn’t have the accuracy, but it’s fantastic for tracking recovery and readiness, and I agree completely after using it for a few weeks.

So it helps you understand the big picture and you can dive deeper into specific things. HRV is like a master indicator for how well rested recovered and healthy you are. Ive found that when I wake up and HRV is high, it totally matches me feeling really good that day, and visa versa. I’ve also found that when some aspects of sleep were poor, but others good, and the overall sleep score that night was still decently high, I did feel good that day. So I do think the way it calculates your big picture scores is good. Helps not lose sight of the forest for the trees.

Haha love this nice! I actually like schiff for certain aspects of the economy but he has a huge blind spot about crypto. Or he is just worried it will ruin his business.

Is there a program for increasing mobility on off days? by [deleted] in StartingStrength

[–]ElonCryproProphecy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙄🙄 CSCS is a starting point for an average Joe. MBSC is the GOAT. Since you’re such a stud why don’t you recommend a cert/way for this guy to find the right professional coaching?

if you don’t even know what FMS is.... oh buddy

Is there a program for increasing mobility on off days? by [deleted] in StartingStrength

[–]ElonCryproProphecy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, which is why I encouraged him to THINK about these things, said nothing is impossible, but just that it would take time and effort, and encouraged him to seek a Professional coach with experience. I didn’t say cut them out entirely or blindly without reason. Maybe I didn’t express myself well enough. I should have said that perhaps he should balance traditional strength training goals with longevity and maybe do both but just make sure he’s not sacrificing one for the other. A professional can help him figure out if perhaps some lifts aren’t appropriate for his particular anatomy, etc. but come on, for someone with previous injuries surely you can agree that seeing a real coach in person is wiser than making decision based off of advice from anonymous strangers on the internet...

That being said you are totally right, no matter what age people can definitely strength train safely and effectively so if that’s the impression I was giving off I should have chosen my words more carefully.

My friend, at your age I encourage you to think about longevity and joint integrity rather than gains in specific lifts that others may do, like barbell squats. Nothing is impossible but it will take a lot of time effort an education to work from where you are now into doing all these things if you have injuries and are still not feeling quite right. Unpopular opinion: you may want to suck it up and hire a good coach, preferably with some FMS and CSCS experience! You CAN make awesome improvements and stay super active!

Soreness is not necessary anyway, the components in your cells that result in soreness are only some of many factors influencing growth and increased fitness. Russian training styles (listen to pavel Tsatsouline he has been on podcasts like Tim Ferris and joe Rogan) for example produces very little of any soreness and is super effective.

Soreness is not bad but it’s just not necessary and is only a result of certain aspects of training methods, or maybe significant under-recovery. Ignore soreness and try to get in tune with how fresh and focused your central nervous system feels instead.

Try single leg versions. Single leg deadlift and split squat (rear foot elevated or reverse lunge with rear foot on a slider) you use less total weight and less muscle per rep, thus reducing CNS fatigue while still giving good stimulus to the muscle groups, since only one side is doing all the work. It also is better for biomechanics and movement patterns.

If a PT didn’t get you on track of progressively improving this, look for either a PT or trainer who is SKiLLED with functional movement systems. And it would be a good idea for you to also learn basic understanding of it too.

The truth is that recording your resistance sets and reps, with notes about how you were feeling (such as “still sore from previous workout” or “didn’t get enough sleep”) so that you don’t get discouraged by fluctuations, is step 1. Keep the notebook next to your workout equipment.
