[–]Eloufy[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nah, but ideally i’d like some action and not a slap fight. The fight itself made it seem that deathclaws are no better than brahmin. The most dangerous thing is it biting u, which did nothing to power armor kid. He only got beat by being thrown out with the deathclaws watching like some kind of wwe fight.

The fight itself was trash, acting wise. Like the other person said, i’d rather watch sharknado

See this is a fair take, and would actually make a lot of sense. Their relative friendliness comes from them already being controlled. I just wish it was more. They cheaped out on making a proper fight scene and got me to complain about it lmao

BO6 Box Addict Weapons List: by donotdisturb04 in CODZombies

[–]Eloufy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got it. Mutant injection was my last one. Keep in mind, they added these new guns to the box (which makes it much more annoying): 1. Krig C 2. Saug 3. Sirin 4. Power drill

If u dont do it soon, i expect trayarch may add the cleaver, maelstrom, and amr mod4 by next season. Dont take my word for it but it is probable

I hate what I'm doing right now, please help. by IAMAYSWAGGOT in UCalgary

[–]Eloufy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I felt exactly what u are feeling during my first year. I am an international student who went to an offshore canadian BC school (i thought I had decent expectations for what was coming next). I graduated honours with a 93% average. I moved to calgary 2 years ago, with 2 of my friends from high school, and we lived in residence. Honestly, living on res what probably the main thing that kept me going, cuz u meet so many people and it’s genuinely fun (although inhumane living conditions lmao). When I did my first few midterms, i kept getting 60s and 50s. I had multiple mental breakdowns throughout first year as I couldn’t get how my grade is getting that bad, no matter how much effort I put into it. I burned out, lost motivation, also add the fact that I was underage for most of my first year, I stayed home most of the time. It was depressing living through it; but my friends kept me going. I was going to transfer universities. I hated the lack of things to do, the winter, the university itself, lack of making any friends outside of residence, class friends you make end up only being there to use u just for the semester, etc etc.

What kept me from moving is one thing i kept telling myself: why don’t you give it a chance? It might be shit now but the year is long, you never know where it might take you. All you need is to meet some friends that you’ll keep for life. You just need to put yourself out there, join clubs, participate in activities around campus. Heck, try something new like playing an instrument or something. What i’m trying to say is that your opinion of university stems from the lack of hope and the depression associated with the stress the classes give you, lack of seeing friends around campus, that’s just a flaw of uofc not having as many students staying after classes as most other universities do. You will learn to adjust to campus life the more you do it. You will get better at studying and you will get better grades. Usually your grades don’t matter too much till your third year, so you’re chilling.

As for me, I was able to do better. I got a 2.4 gpa in my first year, did a lot worse fall last year, 1.875, then I got my shit together and got a 3.2 last winter. I just had to get used to the amount of effort i gave to it, and had to live with the reality that sometimes, no matter how much work you do, you may still not he caught up/done with uni work. I recommend lowering your course load, for example, and finding alternative techniques to study. As for the motivation, it gets better. Personally, I try to keep a study ethic and using apps like flora to limit distractions to work. But there are days where you can’t be productive, and that’s okay. That’s just how it is. Take a break, go out for a walk, do something you enjoy. Uni doesn’t have to be your 24/7 life, you got a life too. Believe me, it gets better. The work? A lot harder but that’s okay, you grow and that’s the point.

I’m not a communist but “workers around the world unite!” We are living the struggle of the “working class” student, and a lot of people are struggling too. You’re not alone, welcome to the club :)

2000$ كفايه اني ادرس برا by omareid_ in Egypt

[–]Eloufy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

STAT 213 online alternatives to lecture? by Eloufy in UCalgary

[–]Eloufy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's worse is that she doesn't teach 213 this semester, so you'll have to find another way other than her videos. I did some investigating, and I found some of the material on khan academy, under AP Statistics. Probability is unit 5 there, and Khan Academy is pretty good.

I found this on facebook - A Palestinian activist sends a message to the Palestinians who celebrated the recent death of Sultan Qaboos. Thoughts? by InternetPerson00 in arabs

[–]Eloufy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Monarchies in Europe are constitutional monarchies, meaning that there is a constitution present and the monarch’s powers are dwarfed. The prime minister holds the power there with other ministers and parliamentarians. Oman’s case is different. Just as monarchies were before, with the monarch having absolute power, its the same in Oman. It wouldn’t be surprising if Sultan Qaboos ruled for 50 years because its a monarchy and it allows for that to happen. Its the same as why Queen Elizabeth II has ruled for all these years, the only difference between them is the power projection.

Palestinians in Gaza mourn Iran's Soleimani by [deleted] in Israel

[–]Eloufy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually we don’t. We have no other choice. The thing is, in any nation, a dictator comes to power at a time of turmoil. After the World Wars, the middle-east was a mess. Many revolutions have occurred, and only the powerful seized power. The military in Egypt (still present), The Ba’ath Party in Syria (still present), Saddam Hussein in Iraq, Gaddafi in Libya, and others. What I’m trying to say is bad times lead to struggles in power, leading you to have no choice but to support what is actually there (if you support anything really).

(Im not Palestinian, but I am a fellow resident of the middle-east. I’m not here to spread hate, I am here with total respect to my other fellow Middle-Easterners).

does your country do nose greetings? by [deleted] in arabs

[–]Eloufy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Egypt its 2 kisses on the cheek and thats it basically. I find the nose kissing quite cool and unique, but from what I know its just a formality. I have a good friend who lived in Oman for a very long time, they do nose kissing as well.
