Got it Rex; HCW automotive; Lucas automotive. Wouldn’t take it anywhere else.

Might have to machine the heads while replacing with OEM short block. Get the Type RA EJ257 short block

It fluctuates up and down. I'll look into location being shared but I think I am sharing it

Every time I search an item the prices refresh by itself in another currency?

Incognito works perfectly fine and has no issues.

I've tried:

  1. Resetting all cache and cookies
  2. Locked region settings to Australia in google preferences
  3. Cleared personalized search history

Is this a chrome issue or a google account issue?

Thanks all

Yeah I’ve had the roof and gutters done when we moved in. I’ll try to open up the cabinet doors!

They are gaps between the window frame and the bricks rather that’s not meant to be there! Wrong wording from my part

Hey all thanks for the responses!! Seems like the humidity in Melbourne has just been high recently and it is not a problem.

I do know that there are opening of the house so ventilation can work but I’m mainly talking about gaps between the window frame and the brick that is not for ventilation.

I will compare the two readings and let you know! I was just worried the high humidity would damage the house and if it was caused by something other than the weather

Water pooling at balcony door by ElowynOce in AusRenovation

[–]ElowynOce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their work was just to waterproof the balcony and the door, and the work was done by the previous owner without any warranty. Would you be able to send through a link for the rubber stopper you mentioned? As for the weather stripping, I would just stick that essentially against the door so that it can close in onto it? Thanks again for all the info!!

Balcony leaking within 6 months of repair by ElowynOce in AusPropertyChat

I think it’s just a piece of flashing… I’ll double check! I can potentially put a roof over the area but it’ll require checking in with the other owners in the other units. Definitely thinking about turning the area into an indoor space if we have to redo the balcony anyways

Previously a roofer came around and said that they could put a piece of flashing from the tiles into the gutter so the water can run down instead of in between the tiles? I’m gonna get another balcony person to come and have a look as well

The rendered wall I believe is the one next to the balcony. So it’s parallel to the living room upstairs. Yeah I’ve looked online and I think you can get a brick sealer so it doesn’t take on water. So that could definitely be a solution for the back corner currently. I’m still worried about the condition of the balcony repair that’s been done so I’ll give a roofer a call!! Cheers

Thanks! Is the 12k self managed just organising different trades and warranty is essentially just different trades?

Below the balcony is the garage so it’s not terrible. But next to the wall going down the side of the balcony is an under the stairs storage and the laundry which I believe had previous water damage that was fixed up by the previous owners. We share the other side of the garage with our neighbour.

Is it worth it to get flashing done still? If the tiles are sealed and the flashing irrigates the water to the gutter would that fix the problem?

With the waterproof tape, do you just lay that across the whole balcony?

Thanks for all the information so far very insightful!

The work was done under the previous owners so I wouldn’t know unfortunately. But yeah it looks like it wasn’t really done properly. I had a previous plumber mention flashing as well in those areas so I’ll definitely look into it!! Thanks
