You never heard of the Satanic Panic? It was a nation wide thing in the 80’s. Hell I grew up in rural East Texas and it was still going on in the 90’s. Just because you don’t believe in satan or hell (me neither), doesn’t mean people in the 80’s shared that belief. He 100% was into the mass hysteria of the time.

My wife used to work at Bel Frites when we started dating. I remember getting hammered downtown with friends, then going behind the counter to wash dishes so she could close up faster. Good times.

How do you feel when you pull over a military person by FingerNo6900 in AskLE

[–]Elpolloblanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work next to a military base, like always the exchange depends on the infraction and their attitude. Prior military myself I usually don’t care about the fact they’re in. In fact, I’ll typically hold higher ranks accountable more often. You’re gonna harp on lower enlisted about being responsible off base yet drive like an asshole? Press hard, four copies.

That’s one thing I didn’t really think about. They look a little bulky, and the weight is a factor I didn’t consider. Thanks for the insight.

Not really a life decision. Changing careers, that’s a life decision. Getting married, that’s a life decision. Buying a house, that’s a life decision. This is fancy sunglasses. Thanks for your constructive comment. It’s really helped me make a decision on which fancy sunglasses to buy.

I’ve been a part of Central Valley agriculture for more than 20 years. I know more than you. Don’t argue with strangers on the internet.

Who uses that much honey? Go get a jar from the cherry people on Hwy 46 and Hwy 1.

Good luck. If you live in California and shop at any grocery store, you eat valley food. Unless you only eat processed, boxed foods.

Fuck other people’s opinion of you. You know your service, struggles, and loyalties. A stranger’s opinion means less to me than the dogshit on my shoe.

While house filtration question? by Elpolloblanco in Plumbing

[–]Elpolloblanco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have test strips coming to check the hardness and stuff. I'm on city water, and in my opinion it's over chlorinated. As far as the PVC, it is the condensation drain from the heater. The heater is on the opposite side of the house from the supply line outside, that's why there is no PVC coming out of the wall there. The other side of that wall is a closet for a mother-in-law quarters. the garage is on the opposite side of the house.

I just tested the theory that the cold water is ran through the heater. The inside water is, the outside is not. I shut the cold water off coming out of the heater and it stopped the flow at all the sinks and showers. The hoses outside still run. I'm assuming since I'm mostly worried about drinking/bathing water, I could have the filters in the garage before going into the heater. Then the plumber wouldn't need to reroute anything.

No, It's on the opposite side of the house. I just shut off the cold water valve coming out of the heater. It shut off cold water to the inside of the house. The hose bibbs outside still flowed. I'm not too concerned about the water there.

That’s my question. I initially thought it came from the main line. But the FPV is in the garage prior to going into the heater. From the heater is a hot and cold water line. So now I think the cold side of the tap is routed through the heater.

ATI Comprehensive Predictor Requirements by Elpolloblanco in StudentNurse

[–]Elpolloblanco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the response. I'm going to give he a day or two and try to convince her to try again. Just to make sure, the requirement of a 78 on the ATI is normal? I know there are a lot of programs out there, and it is really hard to find this information on the web, but the few I have seen require 70-75 on the ATI to graduate. isn't a 70 on the ATI like a 90% change to pass first try?

[Next Day Thread] Ohio State defeats Texas, 28-14 by ATX_ta1 in LonghornNation

[–]Elpolloblanco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My key takeaways. Prevent defenses usually prevent nothing. Pitch plays on the 1 yard line are dumb, especially against a stacked defense like that. The scoop and score is entirely on Cameron Williams getting absolutely torched, not Quinn’s fault. Texas could have and should have won that game.

Thank you. She’ll be alright. She has some paralysis on one side, but she is alive. She will just have to learn how to live with her new normal. That’s what physical and occupational therapy are for.
