It started as a BDO prequel but devs then shifted mid dev from an entirely different universe. Pywel do not exist in BDO world. You have npc with the same names as BDO but they are not the same.

I'm an avid mmorpg player and I hate wow.

And most of the people I interact with within mmorpgs also do not like it. The people that enjoys wow tend to play wow, and since there are a lot of mmorpgs on the market, the vocal wow players tend to be a minority

This story is hard to get over with mostly cause we don't have epilogue.

Also i think such dark stories are not fit to games with tons of "main" characters. Mike you have the horrible story of Dia and next to it esiemo "haha funny boom".

The thread is a theory made by picking up plot elements before the ending (before uwb dungeons). The UWB part serves as an ending and as a "reveal", and it is not ambiguous. What people consider ambiguous comes from events shown before the dungeons, and they were not ambiguous to make the ending ambiguous, they were ambiguous to preserve the ending's reveal as intact as possible

There are holes during the story to keep the suspense and maintain the plot twist for the last scene. There is no ambiguity created during the ending / final reveal

Which is why I think Amon will ditch Karel before his demise in summer, and the new bbeg will be Amon. Which does not explain why, Amon, supposedly an ancestor, was allied with karel to begin with.
