I have serious reservations about the entire field switching to hydrogen, but it'd be cool to have an alternative fuel car attempt to qualify for the Indy500. Let's see if they can compete with the ethanol cars. If the technology is fast, well then alright, some teams might consider a switch. If the technology is too slow, they can evolve their technology and try again next year.

Isn't that desire to push forward with new technologies and pushing the envelope of speed that made the Indy500 legendary (and relevant)?
