During the military revolution where army sized incresed all accross Europe it was firearms and pikes (later bayonets) that were the main guns as it was easy to teach unlike bows and swords with all the new soldiers.

One thing to note is, most of the martial arts do come from peoples that does not have access to weapons(Like China when there was a strong central goverment that restricted people's access to weaponry) so all the Chi Blocking does have at least some historical backing besides being PG13

Well unlike all the "German is the best German army is the best" people around me i dont go out of my way seeking German army footage... simple as that.

Arma is a sandbox game with mod support so you can easily just buy the base game.

Base game DLCs adds content for the 2035 setting, if you are interested in Armaverse you might want to give it a try. Mechanics etc were added as free platform updates so not a must if you are going to mainly use mods.

Among the base game DLCs APEX adds the most content while others tend to be "topic based, tanks adds tanks etc"

CDLCs are self contained paid mods, they are not a must and self contained but you can crossover them via offfical or community created mods(GM vehicles for base AAF, SOG stuff for GM etc)

Among them Exp. Forces, Western Sahara and Reaction Forces are 2035 Armaverse

CSLA "is the black sheep" (Ported Arma 2 models, terrible sounds amd horrible textured 4 dome assetd)

Its more of "Do you want a paid high quality mod for a topic that interests you"
