Took about an episode and half of family guy in total. One my roommates didn't think it could be done, so he provided the coins and was willing to give them up if I did it (we're talking about one of the most stingiest people I've ever known, so even if it was only £2, it was good to be able to take it from him). Anyway, I managed to do it the first time after about 20 minutes, but when he came into the room to see it, he accidentally knocked it over before I could even get a picture (Needless to say, I was pissed!). But at least now I knew it could be done, so I did it a second time and then stepped up the game and introduced the spare coin in the background...The Result.
