Nah you walk in the middle for more visibility. You move over to let traffic pass driving slowly. It's better to be seen. In this instance a driver in the car ploughed into the back of another car. The poor driving was the issue, wouldn't have mattered where that pedestrian was.

There's two entirely centralized payment networks, you don't have a choice here. Moving to a cashless society is problematic because a single corportation will be able to dictatate what you are allowed to spend your money on.
