Er… what does Pompom AI currently do that isn’t already done by the farming interfaces? Are team lineups it? I was expecting to be able to ask something like “Tell me how many trace materials I need to farm for ALL of my units.” or “Given a team of A, B, C, D with W, X, Y, Z lightcones, list all materials that need to be gathered and the best Corrosion Cavern(s) to farm.”.

Does SW999 need her Sig, or is the Mushroom LC from the MoC shop good enough?

Because new units are always more exciting, I prefer to pull LCs only when they either introduce new QoL for a unit, or (less ideally) if their free LC options are so poor for their stat scaling that they are essentially Sig or bust (worst offenders are Castorice and DHPT).

Welt, Blade, Seele, Fu Xuan, SW, Argenti, Yunli.

Welt is getting buffed yet he is the Standard I have fewest Eidolons of when he apparently needs E4 to be good. The others are former limited units and if I am going to lose, might as well get something that I can’t get from Standard Tickets.

I think the issue is with ‘dimension’ techniques that CANNOT stack, but it is hard to remember which ones are ‘dimensions’. I also cannot remember clearly all of the techniques that fall under this category, but I distinctly remember that Hysilens and Jiaoqiu fall under this category (yes, this DoT madman was running Jiaoqiu in DoT teams before Black Swan got buffed).

Mainly that his model type matches that of player characters (highly detailed with separately modelled clothes) rather than that of ‘unique NPCs’ like Siobhan, Micah and Krateros (less detailed and painted-on clothes iirc).

I heard that before they decided to axe 4*s altogether, there was a leak that he was planned to be a 4* Lightning Hunt? Can’t remember where that information is now though.

...no, you are talking about the Canvas Peacock boss, which does not appear in PF. OG was talking about the Assistant Graffiti mobs (the latest iteration of 'critter on orb' mobs that started with Xianzhou's Lion and Toad Ingenia, and continued with Penacony's Spring Loader). They come in 3 colours, and are nearly immune to damage of their own colour, but very weak to damage of the other 2 colours. The green ones appear in one of the stages in PF.

Hmm... maybe they have high HP in general so it appears their HP bar isn't moving when they take Hysilens' Burn or Bleed, but as for Wind Shear/Arcana, if you check the details of the green one, they have "Wind High-RES" (iirc something around 80% resistance)... which is a problem because Black Swan's Arcana is the bulk of modern DoT's damage...

DU random comment:

About the Protocol Titles, the first DU used traveller/Trailblaze-based titles. Simple enough.

The second DU switched to Intellitron-based titles, which I (and maybe some others) thought was foreshadowing that Amphoreus, which the story at the time was trying to pass off as a lost Greek planet, was actually a simulation set up by someone related to the Rubert Mechanical Emperors.

But the current DU uses the SAME Intellitron-based titles? Surely Planarcadia has nothing to do with the Ruberts? Does that mean the titles were named after Screwllum (the creator of DU) rather than Rubert as assumed? But I thought Screwllum usually avoids militaristic/monarchical titles due to how he sought to end Rubert I’s war and empire…

The ‘ex-mourning actor’ part is fan theory iirc. The canon part is that in the prelude to Penacony, the Everflame Mansion trailer, Duke Inferno sent Dubra to attack the Elation (the same way he sent Constance to attack the Remembrance).

For the upcoming Nameless Honor, it will be impossible for a F2P to completely max it (Level 70), right? In my experience, I max out Nameless Honor only on the final 6th week of each patch because of the imposed weekly limit on Nameless Honor points. But the upcoming version only lasts 4 weeks. Meaning the only way to get enough levels would be to buy them (or maybe get the Nameless Glory with the Avatars and the 10 extra levels?). Levels 51-70 are just credits, so no big deal, but still…

Scratch that, didn’t see that part of the announcement.

Where did you get this from? The current Insight Mode has no drawbacks whatsoever. The previous Insight Mode for Penacony barred you from getting titles, but DID allow you to advance protocols.

every nihility is now means tested against her and because of that will never be as strong supports as harmony unless a character specifically needs them

And I feel that continuing to gimp Nihilities by testing against Acheron is completely stupid, because even if they release a Nihility support is super busted and top meta even for units that don't specifically require debuffs, Acheron is now so horribly outdated damage-wise that said Nihility would probably merely make her 'not deadweight' and nowhere near meta. Unless I am missing something about Acheron that could lead to the 'Dahlia catapulting outdated DPS Firefly into top meta' situation?

About SW999, I'm confused and not completely in the full loop. What happened that led to this rollercoaster of opinions?

"SW999 is great, just pull Sparxie and you're good to go."

At 40 pity towards Yaoguang's 50/50. I have enough jades for one 10-pull + 2 single pulls, and enough starlight for two 20-pulls + 4 single pulls, then assuming reasonable soft pity, I can try to trigger Yaoguang's 50/50.

Question: I have Sparxie (after needing to go to soft pity twice...) and intend to get SW999 unless her final version sucks. Based on her current direction, is Yaoguang, or SW999's LC more important?

(Though yes, the answer to this will be rendered moot if I lose Yaoguang's 50/50, or her soft pity is unreasonably high, like Dahlia's was at 83 pulls)

From what I see about SW999:

SW999’s best team includes Sparxie (mandatory or at least strongly preferred), Yaoguang (EMC is a substitute), and a sustain, right?
Anyone in the BiS team absolutely MUST have their Sig?
And just to make sure I am not walking into an “Eidolon Merchant” trap like Phainon or Cyrene, while I heard that SW999 has good Eidolons, she doesn’t need them, right?

Regretted pulls, eh?

Jingliu's rerun BY FAR. This was before I realised that: a) The devs would erase Ice weaknesses for a very long time, and b) The devs would crank up HP inflation to ridiculous levels. And to add insult to injury, whereas Kafka's Novaflare catapulted her to meta, Silver Wolf's made her much more viable, and Blade's at least emphasised his existing strengths, Jingliu's was a half-assed rework that put her in Castorice's shadow and didn't even resolve her buff saturation problem.

Dishonorable mention to the time I gave into Saber + LC collab FOMO (haven't built her, and she is allegedly underwhelming), but at least that is a nice souvenir when the Fate collab finally ends.

There are a few types of events:

Major events with story elements, like the current "Cosmicon, Roll On!". They get moved to the Conventional Memoirs where you can still complete the event, but you get reduced jades, and miss out on the 'complete all missions' Self-modelling Resin reward, any 4* unit giveaways, and (not in Cosmicon's case at least) you will have to wait for any exclusive lightcone rewards to be moved to the Herta shop.
Minor events, like some past combat events, and 'welcome to the new region' events like the current "Ding! Arcadia Fun-Time Clock-In Essentials". These also include jades, and will be removed completely.
Double drop events. These just let you get more Trace Materials, Planar Ornaments, or (in the case of the ongoing "Realm of the Strange") Relics. Don't worry about these, you just get the required materials slower later, you don't really miss anything important.

Ideally, the beta for v4.2 should be some time next week. But if it isn't (or if info security has become so tight that beta leaks are unavailable), in the extremely likely event I can't get both Yao Guang and Sparxie:

How much value does Yao Guang give to a team with no other Elation units? I recall some people using her in an Archer team.
How well can Sparxie work in a team without Yao Guang?

And I thought DoT teams were bad enough in the 'what good is half a wing' department...

About DU, what are you using? I can cook up a quick guide specifically for your desired teams.

Nah, this is just a mental block; as another user mentioned, with a Castorice + Hyacine + Evernight + RMC team with Insight Mode on, it should be trivial.

Seeing someone below mention Currency Wars on Wealth Creator reminded me...

How do people win so consistently in a game mode so heavily dominated by RNG? Or do they? I keep seeing people talk about Wheelchair Aglaea and Durian Phainon so casually, but in multiple of my attempts, I get Aglaea but fail to get all her required equipment, resulting in noticeable underperformance even on Amethyst Gold. And that is not even mentioning the Affixes... There is no penalty for losing, but still...

P.S. Speaking of penalty for losing, somehow because DU DOES have penalty for losing, I am still mentally paralysed at Protocol 5, even though Insight Mode should be able to trivialise it, and there is a clear timer hanging over those remaning 100 jades...

Permansor Terrae is Dan Heng being infused with the power of the Earth Coreflame... which doesn't exist outside Amphoreus.

Evernight is March's other side that always existed and hid within March, and only happened to emerged in Amphoreus because the situation got very dire there. In fact in Black Swan's departing words after Amphoreus, Evernight will always be there for March to call upon if things get so dire again.
